Nach, that should go in the Comical Picture thread! You're doing it wrong! This thread is ostensibly for random thoughts, but mainly for us all to discuss Zeusthecat's junk.

Good point, I'll mention that to Dan (I assume it would require coding on top of the usual online stuff?). EDIT: https://twitter.com/TimeGentleman/status/332497581320044545

I think it would be helpful to give them a relatively easy challenge (get to X points, level X etc) so they have a reason to stick with the game for long enough to give it a proper chance but they can drop it after that point if they're not enjoying it. It would be good to instil in them defense against the relatively new problem of having a massive backlog of unplayed/unfinished games. It would probably be good to aim for very accessible games - they won't want to learn a keyboard full of controls or go through a set of tutorials every time they move to a new game. I suggest DooM, as a fun, arcadey and seminal FPS.

No, there aren't.

I think Teen Agent is still one of the free games you get when you sign up with gog.com.

Ah, okay, excellent! Erkki, that's my motion seconded.
-
I understood what you were saying, but it seems to be responding to an argument I wasn't making. I was simply asking Erkki to fix a spoiler and pointing Argobot to the original, more positive definition of . Oh, and I was also defending Revenge Of The Sith for some reason.
-
That doesn't seem to be in response to anything in my post, Codicier...

Realms on the Haunting?

Please change this, Erkki, it isn't true, and may cause people who have read the books to assume it's safe to read the spoilers and then have the show spoiled for them, as just happened to me! Argobot, a minor point: And even more importantly: how is Anakin killing the younglings bad writing or out of nowhere? It's the point the entire prequel trilogy has been leading up to!

That'll be coming later, but this means you'll have HOT MONKEY ACTION to keep you entertained while you wait.

Well, move the emphasis from "man's" to "tonsils", that should be enough.

The trick will be to channel Rik Mayall without just copying the performance wholesale.

Zeusthecat, if you want a thread called "Zeusthecat talks about his genitals and sometimes cats' arseholes" then you're allowed to make one...

Just watching the extras, apparently shooting on film with an anamorphic lens, plus spotlights, mirrors etc helped a lot.

Make sure to have a moustache that's coming off on one side.

Watching the awful Total Recall remake, which is the film people should be mocking for its use of lens flare, reminded me of this post. I googled it and JJ Abrams says all the lens flares in ST were done live, not added later. I hope he doesn't pull too far back on them in the sequel, as I thought they worked really well and it would be sad to see the look of the films mismatched because of some internet whinging (not you JKO, the "TOO MUCH LENS FLARE" crowd). EDIT: duh, I just realised that of course they have lens flare in the visual effects shots as well.

I had a problem like that with a flash drive once, I had to reformat it to a different kind of memory storage or something. I think I googled the error message or problem and found an answer pretty quickly.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

Oh, sweet, Synth! Brendon's point of starting as soon as you can is something I forgot - Dan thought it'd be clever to suddenly unleash BTDT on the world nearly finished, but it went the same way for him as it did for Brendon with AZS, ie slowly! For TGP, Dan was doing "suggest a character" competitions ("StrangeVisitor" won with his suggestion of Sex Education Clown, and the final character's face was based on him) and all sorts early on. Hermie posted as I was finishing off this post, and LOOK! I was marketing my games too!

This stood out to me as the lead suspect. They probably wanted the playtesters to tell them their personal experience of the game, not project sales figures. "I felt like I'd seen it all before" should be fine. "This game is going to fail" is not.

I had to google image search the Sonic image URL to work it out!
