I agree with Ninja and SBM on Misfits - the writing is often fairly ropey even in the first two seasons, but it gets away with it thanks to its energy and sense of fun. Unfortunately, after season 2 it gets really nasty instead, it makes even less sense (aside from time-loop bollocks, character motivation and logic also go out of the window), becomes repetitive, and starts to tell stories that barely require superpowers (like the one revolving around euthanasia). It's like the writer wanted to be working on a different show but couldn't so just hammered Misfits into a different shape (but isn't that good a writer and therefore the shape is that of a giant turd).

I worked on that show! I was the lowly floor runner. You may have spotted Peter's brother as the main tech guy, but did you notice that the supporting artist (ie extra) in the audience around 0:50 also played Neville's mum (in all the magic photos) for the Harry Potter films?

I was avoiding posting that for spoilers/enigma-dampening (which looking back I realise was unecessary as the person asking about alien colouring has seen the movies umpfty times), but yeah.

The alien in the first film has some light green/brown coloration on its palms, that you can see when right? Unless that's the lighting again, but I don't think so. But yeah, mostly black/grey/silver, which fits with Giger's art and their implied bio-mechanical nature.

So, is the 93 minute pilot episode on Netflix the wrong one to watch? EDIT: no, it is the correct one. Chris referred to the European "feature-length" version, which confused me. The Euro version is 114 minutes long.

As this is a "re-watch" series, will there be spoilers for later episodes and the series as a whole? That is, will it be assumed that readers have watched all of Twin Peaks previously? If so, great, but I'll hold back until I've watched it all. (This may be discussed in the intro episode, but I don't want to listen to the whole ep just to find out I'm not ready for the series yet!)

I interpreted the phrase as also referring to the idea of recognising when a partner is uncomfortable with what they're doing but not saying anything about it - just because they're going along with something and not saying no, doesn't mean they're happy about it. To reverse the phrase, when her mouth says yes but her eyes say no.
