No, the graphics were even more basic than that. The character was simply a tiny square/oblong (may have had rounded off corners) with a five-pixel smiley face. -

I want to remember the name of the platformer I used to play on a shitty IBM-PC back in the late 80s/early 90s where iirc you control a little pink square with a face navigating single screen levels with all the platforms made up of similar small squares on plain backgrounds, only a step up from ASCII graphics. It was kind of a Super MeatBoy predecessor and I think it was called Jumping Jason or something like that. -

Yeah, presumably gators will be emailing them to voice disapproval, so hopefully positive feedback will prevent any "we made a huge mistake" boxes from getting ticked over at Intel.

Apparently Netflix will be clamping down on region unlocking over the next few months due to studio pressure. Of course, they may just be saying that to appease the studios and may be aware that they'll lose a lot of subscribers if they successfully prevent unlocking. Hopefully people would just find other ways round it anyway.

Yeah, Dan did all the in-game art (I did some concept stuff). We did draw the comics together, in alternating panels - but Dan is better at that art than me too, I was just aping his style. Maybe I'll do a Harvey Pekar style comic about my job hunting...

Yes, this. I really enjoyed it, came out feeling energised. Blimey, this happened to the Walking With Dinosaurs movie as well, didn't it? It was going to keep to the show's nature documentary style, albeit following a single dinosaur herd, then they decided it needed the dinosaurs to be voiced and do poop jokes. There must be some focus group company that keeps telling production companies that people hate non-talking dinosaurs. I hope they're not advising the Jurassic World team - then again...

No, trying for a permanent/fixed-term admin role paying minimum £20K pa (hopefully a bit more than that though). If I can't find anything in the next month or so, I'll be heading back to Reed and getting something from them...
