Shame to hear, because I'm making my way through Blighttown for the first time and it's amazing. What a fantastic level design, it reminded me instantly of Resident Evil 4. Super tense, pretty scary, entirely Dark Souls.

I'm really curious where they had these made. Hand painted? 3D printed? America or China? The blotchiness is pretty noticeable up close, but the paint is obviously hand work.

Sno, there is exactly that online somewhere. People have recreated the entirety of Advance Wars that you can play online a turn at a time, against another opponent. A friend of mine has been playing that for years. I'm sure it's easy to find if you look for it, don't know the name myself.

How is the quality up close? Hard plastic or soft plastic? Level of detail on the models? On the vine they look really good and tempting.

An entirely accurate depiction of some events!

New Psychonauts news! Tim just posted THIS on Twitter, much to the brainexplodeyness of everyone due to the lack of context, explanation and further pictures. Psychonauts is getting action figures! Like The Cave did!

Yes, that's my primary concern with getting those new games. There's a neat balance with just Mii Quest and the puzzle thing in how fast you can go through a line. Especially on conventions where you're likely to pick up ten people in the space of every half hour, that's invaluable.

I also only played Dual Strike and loved it. The silliness of it. I played through the whole thing again last year. Good stuff! Though I could never muster the strength to endlessly play skirmish maps to upgrade CO's like the black hole guys, that don't get any love in the snigleplayer campaign.

I doubt that a big budget live action film will show up on a streaming site. The good news is; there's a good chance this film will appear on DVD/BluRay somewhere along the line. Or visit an anime convention somewhere, they might screen it like they did over here?

That's a HUGE NECK! Gordon be buff. (And scary clowny.)

You are part of the ARG O_O

Didn't he... wear a clown costume? On the train? I mean, you never see it, but I just always pictured that. Floppy shoes, facepaint. It's the only explanation why the guards react so badly on him, at least that's what I made of it.

Jeeeesus, that is a good looking, sexy car!

I'm now a good 26 hours in. I've somehow gotten really lucky and obtained a Black Knight Sword from one of the early knights. It's an amazing weapon and has replaced my Drake Sword easily. I love the way my fighter ("Robbuste" is his name) slings it over his shoulder. I've upgraded it a little and now I'm hacking my way easily through anything the game throws at me [at this stage]. A really cool fight was against

That would be Italian. I'm slowly warming up to this device. I'll never, for the record, get one, but it has a certain goofy charm.

You're right, and that's beautiful. The oriental influences are amazing.

Isn't that the issue with so many of the wonderful toys Nintendo builds? Out of every insane feature the DS/3DS has, which of them has spawned truly novel ways of gaming? Only the touch screen has added tremendously to the experience, the rest has been but marginally put to (good) use. Things like the microphone, the cameras, the gyroscope - we could lose them and hardly notice. The same goes for other inventions like the Wii Remote, linking GBA and Gamecube, etc. Note that I like that these features are there, this is more a complaint that so few games put them to any use at all.

The 2DS? It looks preposterous. I loved the ability to flip open my handheld ever since the GBA SP. Losing that would be insufferable, but then the 2DS is clearly marketed towards kids. You know, the 3DS continues to be an amazing system, but all these new iterations are irrelevant. At this point, after comparing, I've even decided to hold off of getting the XL version. The screen is just too fuzzy/pixely for my tastes; the sharpness of the original is not something I'm willing to give up. I'm fine with the size. A bigger screen would demand a higher resolution.

Not anime related, but fuck it: this weekend I was at the Dutch Abunai anime convention and they screened the live action Rurouni Kenshin film. It was fantastic, I loved it. Now I'm seriously considering purchasing the delectable Vizbig luxury editions of the manga. It'll cost me 150 euros and will introduce 4 kilograms of manga to somewhere stack, but I'm oh so tempted.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
Roderick replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
I'm not averse to rap, though I care little for the surrounding scene. Anyway, Osdorp Posse always remained relatively local to the Amsterdam scene. Extince was the first to really bump public awareness, appearing easily on every (television) music channel around. OK, at that time it was only TMF, and later The Box. Sure, there were people and groups before him, but that doesn't take away his claim as rap's big Dutch breakthrough. I never liked Osdorp Posse, by the way. Too angry, too "Amsterdam street culture". Extince had a sense of humor, his songs were smart and funny. -

Quick, wash that away with forever-reigning Dutch rap icon Extince in a relatively new song: (Background: Extince sort of singlehandedly popularized rap in the Netherlands in the 90s, spawning a wave of new hiphop singers and musicians afterwards, After decades, he's still around making cool music.) -
I can watch Cell powering up on a non-specific island aaaaaall day.
