  1. I didn't know Waluigi was so crazy about alcohol? I know he's a mad bomber, which is the reason I always play with him in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, where I just love it when he says 'Waluigi time!'. And then when he throws a bomb, I always shout "KABUUUMM!" before it explodes. Damn I love Waluigi. He's way better than Wario.

Well, I came up with the name Wario's Moonshine Mansion (derived from Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion) before conceiving the game itself. I was thinking, however, that he could use molotov cocktails for bombs. If anyone from Nintendo is reading, feel free to send a development team and wads of cash to my house.

    :waluigi:

  2. Saying that, I'm really hoping for a Luigi's Mansion 2 using the WiiMote. Anyone else like that idea?

I only like the idea if it's announced after Waluigi's Moonshine Mansion.

Think about it: Waluigi goes back in time to the prohibition era and starts his own illegal distillery in a giant mansion, complete with secret passageways, hiding places and a giant speakeasy. Hot on his tail, however, are two cops who happen to be Italian immigrants from a family of plumbers. Meanwhile, he's facing heat from his top competitor, Al Wapone.

  3. nsps: Heh. Don't know whether Ken K got that memo; I was just cracking wise. You know, the whole "also: it's not expensive enough" bit.

Yeah, I knew you were cracking wise, I was just making fun of KK. I also hope that all of the consoles are somewhat successful, as competition encourages innovation. But I'd still like to see Sony get the shit kicked out of them.

  4. More news from Kenny Kutagari on the PC replacement front. There's a decent summary at Gamespot:

    http://www.gamespot.com/news/6152519.html

Kinda funny, in one quote he sez, "Steve Jobs could slap an Apple logo on the PS3 and sell them for $2,000 each." Then later he's quoted as saying Sony wants to be like Apple, not MS. Which I guess means they want to be able to charge $2000 for the PS4?

Didn't anyone get the memo that Apple's products are affordably priced—some might even say obliterating comparably priced ones on the design and software front—now?

  5. They don't? Who does, Telltale? I assumed that they maintained the original game, if not the franchise.

I'm probably going to get a DS Lite soon (US release in a couple weeks), so I need to figure out what the simplest and/or cheapest route is to get this thing running. The screen turned blue on my sister's DS, so I guess it's version 2, but I obviously want something that will work when I get a Lite.

I bought this one instead. Doesn't come with the 4GB HD but rather uses compact flash cards. This suits me better since I can have a whole bunch of CF cards with different things on them. Holding thumbs that they will release some better software to deal with the problems posed in the above review. Otherwise I guess I'll have to write my own :P.

Let us know if you have any better luck with it.

  7. Ah, yes. I suppose that explains why I didn't mention them until much later, when I was trying to think of stuff I played that hadn't been mentioned and forgot what the point of the thread was. (I guess that since I didn't reread it, I was just thinking "essential classic GB games.) Wow am I stupid. :frusty:

My apologies. Please pretend that I only mentioned Motocross Maniacs and Dexterity.

Also, I never played the Metroid for GB, but I sympathize with Tommy Gun's experience based on the NES version (which I'm playing now).

  8. Hey, uh, I just realized that no one has mentioned Super Mario Land, which was from the first wave of GB games. Based on what I remember from 15 years ago, it presented some interesting levels in the mario side-scrolling format.

And wasn't there a game called Tretsi or something? :hah:

Also, if everyone would be so kind as to post their comments about SCUMM VM DS here:

Then when I'm ready to try it myself, I'll be able to find all the info in one place. :deranged:

  9. Yeah, hermes and Ginger nailed the reason I thought that they'd have to lower the price: Many people plan to sell a game after owning it for a little while, especially if they aren't that wild about it.

But you say it's definitely not happening?
