That's cool. I didn't know that you could use GBA flash cards and still use DS features. Although all these multiple techniques do look like quite a pain in the arse...

Thanks for the info. Hm. I wish I'd known that before I got four of them. I even tried unscrewing the clip thing, but the bare chip board still unnecessarily blocks it.

Speaking of powering off, anyone notice that when the SP is connected to the Cube, you can't plug it into the power supply? I want to play for eight hours straight!

I just hope that consumers don't get confused and think that they have to buy both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 before getting their secondary console.

Now I remember why I didn't have a Neo Geo, 3DO or Saturn. Note that the prices still tend to hover around $200-400, not $600. In reference to what n0wak said about things included with the NES, I'm not sure that Duck Hunt came with the original launch, although my NES came with it and the gun, along with two controllers. It costs $50 for a second Xbox controller. Let releases had the ill-conceived track-and-field pad.

I'd be very surprised if as many people buy the PS3 as past PS's. When I was a Wii wee one, I know I never could have convinced my parents to get me an NES, Genesis etc. if they had cost $600. A lot of kids are going to be dependent on their parents to get ahold of one, and I think it'll be a tough sell. But like Sony said, "the PS3 isn't a gaming console, it's a status symbol."

Or I could buy two or three Wiis for the price of one Xbox 360, and give them to my friends as presents.

Good point. It would be like a "Guitar Hero" in which you had to actually learn how to play guitar. It might work as an educational game.

I was hoping for cheaper, but I think that it will end up at $249 now that Sony has announced a price that would make anything look cheap. Maybe if Sony had made any effort to produce an affordable console, they could have made Nintendo go down to $200.

Moos, I think that the material itself was quite solid (although the video at the end was a bit long), but his delivery was thrown off my the rather chilly reception from the room. I guess that's what happens when you expose your audience (which includes the head of the country) as a bunch of phonies. Why the media is only reporting about Bush doing a routine with an impersonator, I don't know.

In JGR, once you were at the graffiti post, you had to do a series of controller stick moves (semi- and quarter-circles, etc.), depending on the intricacy of the graffiti.

Is it Jet Set/Grind Radio-style joystick motions graffiti, or another technique? Did I mention on a Revolution thread that I think the Rev controller would be great for a graffiti thing? I guess that now I have to halt marketing development on "nsps's Getting Up," an epic, 16-level game about trying to get out of bed in the morning.

Huh. Well, I like the parts of the game where I actually get to play, so I'll probably keep it up for a bit longer. I'll let you know how I like it as it goes on. My sister took a look during the scene when I talk to Cortez after returning at the end of chapter 2, and I have a feeling it completely turned her off the game.

You solve a couple puzzles (and listen to a few more boring monologues) in the other world before the chapter three title pops up. I still can't believe that they couldn't at least give us some closeups of the characters' faces, or more visual accompaniment. Oh well, I'll play a bit longer...

Well, I just got to chapter 3 of the first game. I must say, I find it rather annoying that there are large passages of dialogue that seem to go on for hours while there's no visual but the back of the character who is speaking's head. What's the deal? Either let me interact or give a cut scene so I'm not bored out of my wits. Other than that, I'm enjoying the game.

Yeah, that's why I didn't vote for Scream. But the low-quality image doesn't seem to be having an effect on Jack Black.
