  1. Steam Greenlight

Routine sounds like a game for Chris Remo.. "first person survival-horror set on a abandoned Moon Base designed around an ’80s vision of the future."
  2. Mark of the Ninja

Yes, it's Klei Entertainment. And it's a great game. Makes you feel like a boss! Though, sometimes I wish the cutscenes just weren't there. Kudos to them for trying, and the animation is great, but the stories just feel too cliché and overserious. They ruin the game's great atmoshpere for me, at times.
  3. New website!

Aww. I get three dots instead of the last two letters of my name.. Well, serves me right for only backing at the lowest level! And having a long name.
  4. Steam Greenlight

Right. It's a fast solution. I just think they made the decision way too quickly, instead of waiting to see if users would've eventually sorted the shit from the good (along with better filters). But yeah, it does solve the problem.
  5. PAX Posters

That is amazing. Love the typography.
  6. So many amazing things in the AI article:
  7. Steam Greenlight

They seem to have updated it. You get a queue of 12 random (seemingly?) games and once you've voted for one game, a big "Next game in queue" button appears. The text above the up/down vote now states "Would you buy this if it were available on Steam?" which makes me not feel like a douchebag for picking "No" I'd say it's a bit more streamlined. I like it. Don't know what I think about developers having to pay $100 to be on Greenlight, though..
  8. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I quit games all the time, but recently I stopped playing Fable 3. Because 4-5 hours into the game it still felt like a tutorial.. It was exhausting.
  9. Movie/TV recommendations

It's not clay, but it's not computer-rendered. It's stop-motion animated, don't know what the puppets are made of, but it's similar in technique as Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
  10. Wow, protip! Didn't know that.
  11. Wait, eating pills slowed Pac-Man down?
  12. Yep. Thinking about this more, watching it again, this still disappoints me immensely. There are just so many amazing ways to make 3D art look good and integrated with such beautiful 2D backdrops.. But this basic cel-shading just looks ugly and lazy.. *sigh* I always think fondly of the original Broken Sword's art, never so much the story. So after Cecil's 2D hyping before the annoncement, this is just disappointing. I'll pass. If it ends up looking better, I'll play it on release.
  13. I think his argument about pixel size is because that many frames per second, per animation, fills up a SHIT TON of graphics memory, or whatever. They already have the characters in 3D, why not just render them in real-time 3D on top of the backgrounds. They already look awful, anyway, won't look worse in real-time 3D and then they'd be able to do HD without using up SHIT TONS of video memory (I have no idea what something like that is called). Right now, we just get the worst of both worlds.. They can't upscale it and it looks like 90's 3D..
  14. Yes, the 3D characters. Sure, they're not real-time 3D models, but they're obviously just 3D renders.. EDIT: Alright, semantics. It's a 2D game, with prerendered, awful looking IMO 3d characters, that technically are flat, I guess, which still doesn't exactly make the characters look 2D. Cel-shading does not make things 2D! Ugh.. I'm sorry I'm being an ass about this. I'm just disappointed.
  15. Making it look nicer would've been a start, I guess.
  16. It bothers me that they try to pass this off as 2D. It looks nothing like the first games. Even in stills.
  17. Ugh.. why the horrible cel-shaded 3D characters? What is this, Runaway 4? (I haven't listened to the whole video, are these placeholder things to be drawn over?)
  18. By the hammer of Thor!

    By the beard of Zeus!
  19. Quick Photoshop: Couldn't figure out what the hell it said behind the Musicland sticker, "Only two players"? And the fonts are not accurate, but it's what I had installed..
  20. Haha, Chris' "and I like socks" statement after trashing toe-socks made me laugh.
  21. If you need help with graphics, I'd gladly contribute with some 3d hex tiles.
  22. Microsoft Surface

I think they have an open API allowing anyone to integrate the pen into their app. How does it not seem ideal for drawing and painting? That was exactly what I'd imagined myself doing with it..
  23. Feminism

Yes, there is no reason at all to see the others aside from just confirming how awful and horrible men can be, apparently.
  24. Feminism

That is an excellent article. I wish I'd never seen those NSFW links, though. I can't say I'm surprised something like this exists on the internet, but seeing those reddit groups with my own eyes (and seeing them link to other equally disgusting communities) it just.. I have no words for how it felt. Physically ill.
  25. This! Tony had a really well fleshed-out voice and I never felt like I was reading the memoirs of a fictional character, it always felt very real to me. I thought the ending was very satisfying in that Barnes' tasks you with going back and re-evaluate a lot of what you'd read instead of spelling it out entirely. I still am confused what Veronica meant when she replied
