You have too much money, toblix..
  2. Nextbox 1080: The Reckoning

Yeah, what happened? Did they suddenly announce Occulus Rift support?
  3. Feminism

And don't even get me started on revolving doors!
  4. Fez 2

Yes, that does look excellent. Not much to make from it, except maybe it's a play on 1D vs. 3D? Maybe aside from the normal dimensional shifts, you can now compress the world into one single dimensional line. I don't know how it'd work..
  5. The great thing about Peach is that, like in Super Mario Bros. 2, she's not just a reskin of the Mario character but one with her own set of abilities and strengths. I like it when games do that. Too many times I've been bummed out by seemingly cool alternative characters, who turn out to be just the regular character in new clothing.
  6. Yeah, I'm always a bit disappointed that Jake doesn't play the 3DS, and am reminded of it every time they don't mention 3D Land or Luigi's Mansion 2 when talking about new Nintendo stuff..
  7. It's not the years, Indie, it's the mileage

I understand being tired of the retro aesthetic, but I can't really see it in Hohokum. It reminds one of LocoRoco, but surely that's not old enough to qualify as retro. Pixel-art, while I find it charming still, I can understand people being a bit tired of. But this, this is sharp, 2d modern design with a nod towards Yellow Submarine-style design.. maybe? Looks great, to me. I wouldn't call it lo-fi or retro.
  8. PL4YST4TION 4

Oh, shit. Yes. I can see it now. Ghost Dog Mic.
  9. PL4YST4TION 4

And the microphone disappears in the air..
  10. 3DS Friend Codes

Added you, teg! Now.. add me!
  11. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I think I've added everyone. Mine is 4184-1780-6592 for those who haven't added me yet. Can't wait to try New Leaf out. Won't be out until the 14th over here..
  12. E3 2013 Idle Thumbs Steam Chat

When is Valve's keynote for announcing their SteamBox?
  13. Reading the summaries almost even makes me sadder that I got wiped out so early.. It just feels even more like just bad luck (although Murdoc does confess it was my scientific superiority that pushed him to attack !! ..) I did let my guard down at the time, so it was my fault in the end.. But damn. It was so maddening when after I got beaten down the first time, two neighbors to Famous AFKd which left me completely fucked. Maybe with an even struggle between all neighbors I could've fought back. But as it is, I only remained as an insignificant thorn in his side..
  14. Game of Thrones (TV show)

They will feast and dance at the same time? Sounds way too optimistic for GoT..
  15. Nintendo 3DS

Sweet! Then I see absolutely no problem with that side of things, as far as I'm concerned.
  16. Nintendo 3DS

Wait, I've misunderstood something.. The transfer is from a 3DS to XL? Is there any similar process for when you just want to switch to a larger SD card? Or do I have to suck it up and lose all progress? Also, cartridge games save their data elsewhere.. right? Like.. somewhere on the cartridge?
  17. Nintendo 3DS

I'm trying to wrap my head around the SD card thing.. If I hypothetically deleted the two games I have on my default SD card I can redownload them back onto any SD card, right? I'll only lose my saves. The SD transfer thing is just to preserve saves and not having to redownload? I gotta go read this thread again, 'cause I can't even remember how the SD transfer actually works.
  18. Amazing! I guess I got lucky there. I thought it would be obvious that I wrote it, since I was the first to post it in the thread.
  19. I was Grated McCheeseballs and got my SAS handed to me. I did my best to stay for as long as possible as I didn't want to just give my stars away to Murdoc, but being awful at this I was effectively just giving them away for free.. It was depressing. But to be honest, I would've given up at some point if I had continued for so long as you guys! Also, writing Pieter Weinhandler's blog kept me interested in the game for a big longer than it otherwise would've. At first I hoped maybe it would create some tiny bit of confusion regarding alliances and whatnot, but I doubt that ever happened (I did get a like 10 star dollars out of someone for reporting to them the blog's bad mouthing of them, a proud moment!) In the end it was just a fun, second way of roleplaying the game. I don't even think I learned how to be better at this game. I sort of had fun, then depression and now I'm not sure I'd ever want to try it again.. Unless I come up with some good strategy beforehand. Playing a Dark Galaxy game might be enough to get me into a new game, though. Sounds exciting and even scarier.
  20. Movie/TV recommendations

I guess I enjoyed it more than you did as a whole, but I'm still waiting until I rewatch it to see what I really think of it. To be honest, a lot of the older episodes didn't really click with me until I watched them a second time (especially the pilot)
  21. Movie/TV recommendations

Ben, it dips in quality but it's mostly fun still.. for the later half of season 5 and season 6 it gets back on track, but it's never as good as the first two seasons. Nappi, couldn't agree less. After finishing AD s4 I ended up in love with the thing. In the last four episodes everything seemed to click for me and get funnier with every minute. George Michael's episode, especially, was really fast and funny and had my biggest surprise moment. Agreed about Tobias' episodes, though. He has his moments, but the DeBrie storyline was not my favorite. Catch A Predator bit made up for it for me. I really can't wait to rewatch it, catch all the details in the first episodes I might have missed due to not having seen the whole picture.
  22. Plug your shit

Green Stop Sign Guy looks dangerous! Looks great!
  23. Double Fine - Kickstarter - MASSIVE CHALICE

That's the opposite of how I feel about crowd-funding. If the time limit and goals weren't there I'd never go near it. I want people to make budgets, figure out how much they'd realistically need to pull off projects and then ask for that amount. I hate it when projects shoot for half, just so they can reach the goal and then hope for the rest. That's a risky thing to do when it involves so many people's money. I want to know that if the project reaches its goal, and only its goal, then it is going to get made. If you're afraid you won't reach a high goal, then rescope your project to a smaller one (like Tim Schafer started out doing, his original Kickstarter was to do a lo-fi adventure with no voices) and then if you get more money go ahead and make the project bigger for that money. I think I'm more tired of hearing people complain about Kickstarter and who can and can't use it, than I ever will be of Kickstarter itself. I love backing stuff that I like and can not in any way see the problem with people doing so. Whenever something comes along that I don't like or object to, I ignore it. If a person/company can start a Kickstarter and get enough people to back it to be succesful then Hooray For Them. The more the merrier, really. More attention to the platform, thus more people that may back other projects.
  24. Unity

Aside from making iOS and Android versions free, they're also going to add stuff like real-time shadows (when using a directional light) into the Free version. Which is awesome.
