On the 20th anniversary, we should gather donations for buying the Thumbs an ad page in Variety, or some other magazine of choice. Yes. or.. you know, a game related magazine..? Whatever, I just read the story on Gilliam's Brazil Variety ad, had that stuck in my head..

He's working "to establish a new critical theory for games", so obviously this bothers him a lot. -
Nick Beckon, Haha! Brilliant stuff, TC.

People seem to have a very subjective reaction to this, an entirely objective review site. -

A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes
BigJKO replied to BigJKO's topic in Movies & Television
Thanks for spoiler tagging that. Prefer to stay unspoiled as much as possible on this, as I am enjoying this oh so much. And thanks for that most excellent list. This is truly the best way to experience Voyager. -

Hey, is the introduction of Seven Of Nine (right?) in your episode list? Looking forward to her, I remember her being fun? -

I gotta say, I'm starting on S2 going from SAS's list and I'm loving Voyager! It's good almost from the start. Of course, I'm only watching the good episodes, but they're far better than the good ones on DS9. The characters are much better and the actors aren't doing bad either. Tuvok is a great Vulcan (the first Vulcan regular since TOS?), Janeway is really good and their holographic doctor is a great concept and the best doctor of the Star Trek doctor's I've seen. And the adventures have been consistently good and never too goofy in SAS's episode list. Much tighter than DS9 and less.. choppily edited than TNG was at times. Always straight to the point with the edits, and mostly so with the dialogue as well. Neelix is goofy, but still fun as the guide to this strange new universe. Also, with this new quadrant to be explored we're free of all the decades of history with Cardassians, Romulans, Bajorans(snoooooooooore...) etc.. Of course, there's new history but they don't make too big a deal of it. Chakotay and Kim are pretty blank and boring, still. And Paris is a bit of a dick, albeit sometimes fun enough, I guess. Torres is the most composed Klingon ever (half-Klingon? Is that maybe why?) and a bit of a drag sometimes, but I like her confidence in her engineering abilities. The Kazon are a dull enemy, though. A boring mix of Klingons and Cardassians? Did I say I love that damn doctor. A lot of this may be due to Voyager being the show I actually watched a bit when I was younger. Nostalgia aside, though, I still think this is excellent. Up to S2E14 spoilers, if you're not there yet Ben: And dat intro! I like it. Quite beautiful, methinks. EDIT: I forgot Kes. Quite the non-character there, so far. -
I hope their talk of a unified system for delivering experiences tied to your NNID instead of any single device is a step towards allowing digital downloads to be tied to your account instead of the Wii U. It sounds like they want to offer some content that is independent of hardware, but that doesn't necessarily mean the current digital download titles. But I'd welcome some games that can be played on both my 3DS, Wii U and a theoretical future Nintendo console.

Weirdly, Iwata is still saying that making games on smart devices isn't being ruled out..?? (source)

God, I'm so excited! subbes, when are you ordering and sending the next batch of artwork? Can't wait to see their reactions. And the note is sent last, I assume?

You all did this ages ago, but I finally reached The last World in SM3D World, after combing the entire game for stars, stamps and gold flags. Should I bother spoiler tagging this?
-
Oh, yes. Of course, subbes! I only meant that now the surprise is lost a bit on him, since he's seen his name in here already.

Except Steve already looked in this thread and saw his name and left to avoid more spoilers, so now he's probably anticipating some form of picture of himself..

It's their biblical, psychological thriller. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Alright, so Valve is working on two new franchises for the Source 2 engine, eh? "Bin" and "Core". Sound like Portal spin-offs to me.

Blambo, did you get back to Steve about your real name for crediting on the Wiki page? I'd hate for that brilliant image to get denied placement on Video Games' wiki page.
