That looks excellent, voxn. Thanks for sharing! This thread is really growing into something I like a lot. It's cool.

Do you like your spaceships to be guided by pragmatism or fantasy?
BigJKO replied to Dr Wookie's topic in Video Gaming
You're really excited about Elite. This is your second big Elite post. And I think we already had a big Elite thread before those two.. Right? Not that I mind.. this could be an interesting discussion 'bout spaceships! I'm definitely a fan of pragmatic ships and that Elite one looks pretty nice. You definitely picked the worst looking Star Citizen one, though. Doesn't really look finished? I can't even find it in their spaceship roster.. Their other ships look mostly practical to me. This looks practical enough to me, for exemple: Some of them are more excessive in aesthetic detail, but I'm sure each of that stuff is meant to do something. -
Walking Dead, Mark of the Ninja, Bioshock 2, The Cave vets form Campo Santo

Twitter articles like that are always so weird.. why not contact Camposanto or Chris and ask for some thoughts on his new job or something? Right now it's just.. "Something was posted on twitter. News!" -
A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes
BigJKO replied to BigJKO's topic in Movies & Television
Watched False Profits. It was goofy as hell, but a lot of fun was had. I really liked the callback to the wormhole negotiations in TNG. The Q and the Grey was also fun, but I wasn't too excited about it. I much preferred the earlier Q episode with the trial of whether or not to allow suicide. Loved Q's expression when female Q barged in on him and Janeway with the puppy. John De Lancie has mastered the art of the proper amount of hamminess. And yes, Garak is the best character on DS9. -
Yeah, you should really just vote. It's all for fun, anyways. And if you like a pitch that pitch needs help getting voted the best, y'know. I voted for Dear Leader, Derelict and Buried Metropolis. I really, really hope Dear Leader gets made, not only because it's a great idea and looks fun, simple and do-able in the timeframe available, but also because it would be nice to have some female project leads in the documentary this time around.

Dualhammer, is there any reason you're going for both Python and C# specifically? If you're going to be using Unity you should just stick with C#, and preferably learn it through the Unity tutorials since there's a lot of stuff you don't need to bother with until you really get into some more advanced territory. If you're going for Processing then just peruse the tutorials on their site to learn the Processing Language. Keep it simple, until you've made a game.

Holy shit, RubixsQube you've unleashed the tabacco.

Dear lord.. What the fuck?! What compels someone to.. say this stuff?! How.. Fuck.. EDIT: Appropriately the comments are full of people making sure we know that this isn't really a problem and that she should've just told him to stop and how all men aren't awful, so stop making us feel awful..

By going into your library and clicking on 'Amnesia Fortnight 2014', obviously! There are checkmarks, and everything. Come one, sclpls, it's easy!

The reporter in that comic who offers to insert his penis into her vagina, is that a play on something that actually happened? Not that I don't think it might be something that happens, just it seems like everything else was a direct play on something specific that has been in the news earlier (like the excellent/sad/the worst Penny Arcade "cameo") and was wondering if this was something that's also been reported on? That's an excellent comic, btw. It is the best/worst.

Thanks! That's perfect advice. No frustration at all, I want this to be good. And this kind of feedback makes it better.
-
Wow! That's a lot.

No, they specifically said new listeners, not new forum members. I was curious too.

That is the most absurd thing. Jesus.. that before/after picture..

It's definitely easier to write a personal note for each game. I don't know if it's more interesting, but I kind of like it. Here's a PDF of the first 8 pages, if anyone's interested in having a look. Thanks, Rodi! If I end up going for this more personal take it'd feel a bit weird if someone else wrote it. But, I'd love it if Ben, you and anyone else would look over the stuff I have when I'm finished and make suggestions for changes and such. Sorry for completely hi-jacking this thread for my own purposes. EDIT: Holy shit, Niyeaux! Congrats!

Haha! Point taken. And thanks for the lovely words, you guys.

It was those paragraphs of Ben There, Dan That trivia wot done it. YOU'RE OUT!
-
Hmm.. That's not a bad idea. The personal angle would be good. Maybe a mix? One personal sentence and then a sentence of trivia on art style.. With an Objective Review Score at the end. Done!
-
Holy shit, Ben. That would be quite amazing. And I really like the art style idea! That's a much more interesting approach. Let me wait and see what Alex sends back in regards to guideline for this to see if there are any specific requirements for the descriptions.
-
Graphics are lord. Lord of all!

This is what I'm thinking of doing, if I go for just writing descriptions for everything. But man, that's gonna be one hell of a task.. After two days I'm up to illustration #2.. And they're not even particularly interesting and full of bullshit adjectives..
