  1. The big names in gaming

Because he wasn't already added.. *loses temper* ARRGH!
  2. The big names in gaming

    How about Shigeru Myamoto?
  3. Contact

Looking forward to it, and drooling over the fact that it's Wi-Fi enabled too. Looks sort of Earthbound-like.
  4. Doom Movie Trailer Out

What's the deal with the POV shots? Not only are we going to be feeling bad about seeing an awful movie, but now we're also going to feel seasick from viewing it?
  5. Need some advices on game creations.

I should've been more clear, but when I say "killer presentation" I mean exactly what you're talking about. Just like the stickmen in N show, good graphics can be alarmingly simple. BreakQuest doesn't exactly look like a next-gen game, but it feels just as professional because it's polished down to every last detail, and uses physics and particles to great effect.
  6. Super Monkey Ball & Spyro for DS

Neat! And Spyro actually looks pretty damn good.
  7. Bored of gaming?

What is this, like the fifth "video games are doomed!" thread? Why play video games if you don't see the point? Go make friends, or something. When I don't feel like being entertained by interactive entertainment, I just go out and have a drink with my friends. Or draw or something. However, I do get the need to just play something. And then I usually go and play something that I enjoy playing. And that, to me, is good enough of a point to play something. Enjoyment.
  8. Need some advices on game creations.

Personally, I like games with killer presentation. Make it look good to me, and I'll be the first to rush to play it. Not really feedback on what type of gameplay I like, but hell... it's at least some.. err, feedback.
  9. The positive thread

No, not closely linked other than the fact that the DS has a lot of pick-up-and-play games. And that's just what Fate is... only for the PC. Oh, man. That was needlessly complex.
  10. The positive thread

(Off topic a bit) Katamary Damacy might not be coming to the DS. Reliable? (On-topic) I recently got completely hooked on an indie game by the name Fate. Fairly generic, comical version of Diablo. But it's just so simple and fun. It's the ultimate casual experience. Makes me glad there's a handheld that promotes these kinds of experiences. Am in awe at how many good DS games are just around the corner (and even already here) that I just can't afford. At least they'll still be there when my paycheck arrives.
  11. Why games feel irrelevant?

The way I see it, the point is: Storytelling, when present, isn't strong enough. Doesn't everyone pretty much agree with that?
  12. DS release list

    Maybe we'll get lucky.
  13. DS release list

"The competition is irrelevant" -states Sony Europe (or their PR guy) referring to Nintendo and Sony's Euro PSP release. What an arrogant tit..
  14. Goddammit, I'm going to talk about Quackshot

I guess I'm the only one who recalls liking Hercules. It had such gorgeous graphics for the time.
  15. Zelda pushed back.... :(

I haven't seen any of the more recent screenshots, my earnest opinion is that Twilight Princess is a little bland. And it's also mean of the Zelda director to suddenly turn his back on The Wind Waker, saying it was bad, boring and ugly as shit (not his exact words, of course.)
  16. Somebody justify Beyond Good & Evil to me

    Semi-offtopic: BG&E - The Motion Picture?
  17. Favorite developer logo intro seq.

LucasArts and Sierra logo. They both took time to make the logo appear a different way for most of their earlier games.
  18. Batman Begins. Verdict:

I loved it. Definately preferred it to every super-hero movie I've ever seen. Everything pretty much made sense to me, and didn't leave a whole lot to be questioned afterwards. There was no "Where the fuck did he get that?" or "How the hell does a venom injection make you buffed up and über-strong?" The fight scenes never really bothered me, except in the prison at the beginning where he's fighting six prisoners at one time and the camera just goes in circles. I was dreadfully close to the screen at the theatre, so I just felt sick during that scene.
  19. San Andreas (PC)

    Couldn't agree with you more.
  20. Nostalgia ahoy! This makes me weak in the knees.
  21. Awesome New Mario Bros. Video

I think you can collect power-ups and store them on the lower screen, for immediate selection later on in the game. I'm not sure, though.
  22. Nintendo, I love you.

Nobody's claiming that they'll be giving away 200 games for free. That rumour has already been debunked. I'm hoping they'll be giving something away, as freebies and unlockables, or whatever. However, pricing them in the $20's seems pretty high. For the NES games on GBA, they had to make the cartridges. Here it's not going to cost them shit. Yes, Nintendo are cheap, but not that cheap. I don't really understand this need to shove it into every Nintendo-related thread that you don't buy their shit. It's completely irrelevant.
  23. Nintendo, I love you.

Famitsu Confirms 220+ downloadable classics. No confirmations as to what games that might be. But you can always check this probably completely fictitious list of games being released. (Among which is GoldenEye 007; Again, fake. But nonetheless, a good list)
  24. Nintendo, I love you.

Actually, that has been debunked already. It was just something CompUSA threw out when they revealed the console just before the press release, not something Nintendo actually said themselves.
  25. Kutaragi delivers karate chop to rivals

I love how Kutaragi and Bach practically ignore the Nintendo Revolution. Hopefully that'll be in Nintendo's advantage.
