So, Immersion makes all of its money out of lawsuits. God bless (The United States of North) America! Then again, you gotta protect your junk. Also, don't forget the PSOne, which I believe comes with controllers implmenting DualShock. This article on CNET says Using? Guys, stop playing Playstation 2! you are committing a felony!

They're probably used to inventing their own crazy techonolgies that they don't want to share with anybody: MiniDisc, Betamax, UMD, you name it...

Good redesign... it feels like getting out of the shower (FRESH!). Laverne is my favorite DOTT character. She reminds me of a friend of mine... Though... I was just saying Psychonauts on PSP because a) it's coming to PS2 I thought they were porting some PS2 games to the PSP. Or perhaps it's a lot of work to port them. Or perhaps they have the same name, but are totally different games.
-
I was just thinking... what if they (the royal they) ported Psychonauts to the PSP. The thing just barely came out and I'm sure it's looking for some games to showcase! Unless it can't handle the game...

Um, what about nintend o and Microsoft? how do they get away with the rumble features?
-
Has anyone talked about how the Psychonauts theme is super-heavily based on the Beetlejuice movie main title theme? Has anyone noticed that little detail? Then again, Psychonauts has a very Tim Burton claymation sort of feeling. Or at least it did before, when I first saw that video in 2002ish.

Wanna get into the games industry? Have a heart attack.

Or Shanghai. Oh, wait... -
Okay, so I have this vague idea to what XNA is, but the problem is that the Microsoft website loves telling instead of showing anything! (They must be afraid that people will not buy their software if they look at it, so they bombard them with bullshit ideas and such. But anyway...) Does anyone have any information about XNA and its XNA Studio and how it's supposed to lower game development costs? What's so special about it?

I'm glad the game is getting some good publicity so far, but I hope that they it gets to the right audience or that Majesco doesn't close its doors for Double Fine's future...

so, is jade empire like KOTOR without the star wars?

I have an NVIDIA 6600 GT, which is better than the Radeon 9800 in performance and such. It costs about $200. It's mostly sitting there waiting for dreamfall, I guess. I'm getting Psychonauts for the XBOX!

I was watching the Gamespot video review just a second ago, and it looked like the editor had an orgasm while playing the game. I can't try it, though, because it's for PS2 and I have one of those XBOX thingies.

I just told my Hotmail junk e-mail filter to not make the psychonauts newsletter be spam... Anyway, I thought it was interesting that Psychonauts is featured on Playboy. I remember though, that the Bloodrayne 2 chick appeared nude in the magazine (my friend has a subscription to playboy ) which I thought was really stupid, but hey... looks like Majesco has some kind of buddying going on with Playboy. Now, they need to hit Time Magazine and Cosmopolitan Actually, I could see an article on Time magazine... one about the lack of creativity in games and the bias of violence, you know?

You should (not) meet my friends who play world of warcraft all the time. You know what I do these days? I don't call them anymore, it's not worth it. They always put instances (a pretty word for party-independent dungeons) before me, like it's a big fucking deal. I guess I have classes with them because he have the same mejor, but I only talk to them if I need their help because they're smarter with the mathematical nonsense I care little about. I would stop watching TV if I didn't have it, but my roomate is obsessed with being entertained.

Hideo Kojima: I agree. Messing with the "underground" adventure game movement, I run into a lot of people that just want to make an adventure games because it's easier than making movies, which means that they're making games for all the wrong reasons. It's much more complicated than that. From Simon: It's funny, because he also has extended intros with credits all over the place, too, which is kind of movie-like and overly redundant. I just attended this show/lecture thing by Kyle Cooper, who made movie titles for Se7en, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man (and 2), etc, but also did the titles for MGS 2 + 3. I asked him about that and he said something along the lines of "Hideo Kojima is my friend. He gives me enough freedom to do whatever I want."

ooohhh....ahhh.... Sure, the unreal engine can show pretty graphics, but how many of us has at least a nvidia 6800GT card to sort of display them?

Let's start wailing those guitars cuz prince of persia 3 is coming! I wonder if it's set in the old New York ghetto when bums and crime ruled times square. ...or.... IN SPACE! *WAILS AIR GUITAR* "I... STAND ALONEAH!"

I just noticed that Psychonauts has been rated T for Teen. I was wondering if it was going to be rated E-10 (that one new rating that doesn't make sense), but I guess the dialogue may go a little wild in the game.

I didn't mean that it was the same game, but even Final Fantasy doesn't have the same elfish boy in a green suit as the main character in every single game, or have a princess named Zelda be in some kind of distress, or a bad guy called Ganon, or Gorons, or the Master Sword, or the Triforce. What I meant was that most of the Zelda games reiterate the story with the same themes but in different ways, instead of being actual sequels. Also, I mentioned other games console as other Zelda-like adventures in consoles. Games that capture the same kind of feeling of story and gameplay and style. I read somewhere that Dark Cloud 2 was similar but it's not on XBOX!
-
Umm.... where did that doom article on the thumbs main page come from? I swear I totally missed that!
-
It was probably a Goron. Zelda tends to recycle a lot, but somehow you love the damn game every sing time. It's weird... I wish other people made more games like Zelda but with different storylines and in different consoles (duh), while keeping that nintendo-like quality. Is that too much to ask? Also, what's with the cats?

No backward compatibility? That's ironic, because Microsoft Windows is the #1 embracer of suporting everything ever made for the PC, which of course, makes it an overbloated piece of shit... maybe Microsoft has learned their lesson after all.
-
I wanted Microsoft to call it the "YBOY", or an increase in the letter X (Y, Z...)... but of course, the Microsoft marketing department probably thinks that it's not cool if doesn't have three hip-hop artists behind it.

No, I don't play Doom or Doom II anymore... ... but I play your mom! OHHHHHHHH!!!1

No, no, no... you got it all wrong: Yufster is actually Tim Schafer. And what's with the tie-dye shirts? I guess it's pretty groovy, maaaann.
