So, what I wonder if the difference in people's thoughts about the movie based on the difference in advertisement in America and Europe.

Sure, I don't post news on the thumbs, but at least I can do it here: I've been reading around and it looks like there's this stupid competition between Sony and Microsoft to see who's going to reveal their next-gen console first... and the reports are even based on exactly how many hours will sony announce their console before Microsoft (based on the press events and such). Well, it turns out that microsoft will show a special show (programme) on May 12th on MTV: "MTV outlets in North America, Europe and Asia will air a 30-minute program titled "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed" on May 12 and May 13, the software giant announced Monday." - CNET I dunno if anyone has seen the supposed screenshots of XBOX-2-360-whatever, but it looks like the console will be of a light color instead of very very dark green. BTW, When is E3 going on?

You know that it has to be tray loading. that way you can mount it between your DVD player and your Tivo DVR and still have acess to it. I'm not sure how nintendo got away with GameCube... It would be cool if it was like the Macs where you just push the disk in, but I bet that's expensive.

I just finished the demo, and it was just great. I really felt like I was in the game once I got past the part I've been spoiled with many times (the introduction). I'm sure you guys would agree with that. I think you would also agree that this game was definitely made to be played with from a console with a controller and some vibration going on... the controls on the keyboard were terrible.. I tried to play with wasd+mouse and that didn't work, so I tried to play with wasd only and that didn't feel right, so I switch to up down left right and it felt like I was playing the game on an emulator. I picked up my old 4-button playstation-looking digital gamepad and that seemed to solve the problem, until the last part of the level (and you'll see why) because I couldn't have the precise control I could get with the xbox analog controller. Meanwhile, I would have to figure out what the keys on the screen meant because my buttons are not named space, x, f, and such, and that sort of confused me, and sometimes I needed to move the camera so I would have to take my hand out of the controller and use the mouse, to find out that it was on inverted mode by default! Can't wait until I get it on xbox next week to play the rest of the game! It's definitely a pretty enjoyable game.

Think about it, though: it's Official Xbox Magazine. Just like Nintendo Power, they're not going to give any Xbox game bad reviews with their 'Xbox is the bestest!' attitude... it's just a magazine to get good publicity.

You fool! In Jade Empire all you're going to be able to do is to COMMAND your character to kick and punch and do all that kung-fu shit, because you can't do it yourself. Also, if it's like KOTOR, be ready to expect 17 hours of talking about your feelings with your best girlfriend so you can decide wether you're good or bad.

Lol, that's hilarious... Has anyone seen the one where some kid plays some super mario tunes on the Piano at incredible speeds? That one is pretty cool, but not really funny like this one. It reminds me of one time my friend and I were bored and we started recording movie/nintendo themes on the computer by humming and whatnot, except that we decided to change part of every tune to claim that it was original, Ice Ice Baby style...

Not if you've never seen one up close and personal, like the members of the Lara Croft/Tomb Raider/Core Design team. The good news is that she still looks like she's ready for having her tomb raided instead of raiding a real tomb. (Trust me, you rather have that bad pun I wrote instead of the original version of the sentence I wrote, which I thought it was a bit too... graphical.) Also, why would any girl wear a shirt that ugly? It's almost like a shirt lifting itself up. Or maybe the modeler(s) had a hard time getting it right while having one of their hands stuck inside each other's pants.

I'm probably registering on Dallas, since I live about 5-6 hours away from it. Woooweeee!

Gamespot is kind of odd in that way. Greg Kasavin, the head editor guy, seems to buy a guy who really appreciates everything about games, but then there's other guys who that feel if the game is playable and has great graphics, then they give it at least a score of 9.0. If it has the technical achievement of a new Star Wars movie, then it gets a 9.5, no matter how many times the story and characters have been done, or how ridiculous some of the things are. If you haven't seen the Play magazine yet, it has a nice photo of all the Double Fine (or Psychonauts) team.

The Gamespot guy talks way too fast. He has no broadcast journalism skill whatsoever, and he also seems to be hyped up about anything. I had a dream that I found Psychonauts for rent at my local blockbuster but it was for Playstation 2, so I rented it and played it at my friends house. It felt so real that today I'm mad that there's about 17 days left until the game finally comes out...! I blame this dream on reading Mixnmojo late at night. I may just go buy Official Playstation Magazine and play the demo at my friend's place... hah!
