It was Chicago, actually. In fact, I've seen the infamous bridge in person, without the added scenery! Here's the thing about Batman... it reinvented the comic book movie, again. All recent comic book movies, except for Sin City perhaps, are based on the original Tim Burton Batman formula, with an elaborate intro and Danny Elfman playing the theme song, a damsel in distress rescue sequence, a lot of stylization in the visuals, and also having some kind of band playing a song in the credits/tv that does not relate to the movie at all. This version of Batman didn't have to sink down to that level to be good.

It rocks like Mr. T!

Umm.. I bet you, somehow, get a gun in every scenario and start shooting shit around.

What do you know, it is... I don't think that was up yesterday, since I was thinking about reinstalling linux myself. One thing that I like doing with linux is programming. I dread installing Visual Studio. NET on my Windows PC, because all it does is to add a bunch of files and shit that I don't really want.

If you got no experience, I would recommend Fedora Core 3... it's the easiest one to install and set up. SUSE is kind of a pain to install because you have to do it online, and it takes a long time and sometimes your connection cramps out and stuff. It's pretty, though!

This is kind of off-topic, but it is about Psychonauts... I'm playing the camp right after Raz gets out Mia's mind and if you talk to Admiral Cruller, Raz says: "Admiral, that boat...are you... in love with it?" which just so happens to come out exactly as the line Salvador Limones says in Grim Fandango: "Manuel, are you... in love with her?" Good times.

The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

Exactly. Actually, I just follow the original question, "How would you seduce Yufster?" with complete disregard to replies and comments. -

Perhaps we're thinking about this thread the wrong way. Maybe we need a team of experts who work together co-operately to seduce Yufster. I bet she's into the whole three-or-greater-some thing, right? right?! :nerd: -
Parenting, schools, bullys, homework and results - do video games affect it?

For some reason, this thread reminded me of this: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=100 -
Although he was responsible for RTX, Hal talks about storytelling in the new GDC TV video available online. First he points out the flaws in Indy Emperor's Tomb. He also talks about Katamari Damacy and Beyond Good & Evil! (And Medal of Honor, Rachet and Clank, and Sly Cooper... and RTX Red Rock ) http://www.gdconf.com/gdctv

Aww, but at least we can see him on PBS... I wonder if he got away because film 1) some thing he wanted to do or 2) Ubisoft had him on a leash or 3) both -- Sunday the 12th at 3:00 AM on my PBS. Someone remind me to see it! or to set up the VCR, at least.

There is a flash game out there that already does that, sheesh!

I think baconian is onto something... all we need a "It is teh true!!1"™ from Spaff and a "Undressed Psychonauts" from Yufster to confirm it all! Now, how would I seduce Yufster? Well, obviously she must like monkeys, but I wonder if she can resist the hot Spanish accent because no one really can. So I would say something like, "Hola, preciosa. ¿Por qué eres tan bella? Let's... how do you say... have a Grim Fandango this evening." And then I'll give her my push-bottom limited edition Manny Calavera and there you have it. Is that good? -
In such a context, Idle Thumbs does sound kind of dirty. I mean, what would you do with those idle thumbs? *WINK**WINK* Uhm, I'm glad I've never bothered to find out what idlethumbs.com is.

Or perhaps the most obvious truth... HE IS ACTUALLY A WOMAN!!! DUN DUN DUN

Drugs, you say? It all makes sense now.

I want to add another comment that in my heart, my personal most important game ever made is Monkey Island 2. Before then, I thought computer games was just software or simulations of real life... *Insert something poetic and romantic here*

Pajamas, you say? I prefer the way of boxer shorts and a white shirt.

I looked at the GDC video; the game looked pretty intereting. I love how it's going to be the only EA game ever that is not afraid of stylizing the graphics... just because they can't say no to Will Wright.

Donkey Kong. Before that, games looked too abstract. Donkey brought in a simple storyline and good looking and recognizable characters!

I heard a lot about game testing, but it seems that no one tells you that you get paid a miserable $10/hour or so. I guess it's a good job if you're in college and such, but how was I supposed to test game if I live nowhere near game makers?
