  1. See Ben & Dan's Privates here!

    I'm itching to play it.
  2. Post your face!

Did you know a tight tie also increases the pressure on your eyes?
  3. Post your face!

Yeah, me too. Looks like a Windsor Knot. I don't like small knots. This knot I like.
  4. Piracy has hit a new low....

At least they're staying true to their principles.
  5. Post your face!

Is that a clip-on tie? I really hate clip-on ties.
  6. Floppy-tastic.

Oh yeah, I remember those from school. I remember the ticking noise as well, when a disk got corrupted. But at home we used a Iomega JAZ drive, though. I still have few of those disks lying around. They're quite bulky and heavy (much bigger than a ZIP disk), and can store 1 GB of data. That was a LOT in 1995. I liked the futuristic look of the disk back then.
  7. Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect 2 is not a port. The PC and Xbox versions were designed in parallel.
  8. Heavy Rain

Where is Jack Thompson if you need him?
  9. Mass Effect 2

If I remember correctly, the ceo of BioWare said in an interview with Joystiq that they want players to be able to keep their level from ME2 and adjust the game's difficulty accordingly in ME3.
  10. Mass Effect 2

Finished it today, after I bought and finished ME1 the week before. Heh. Anyway, this time I spent much more time on side missions, and also invested in and fully upgraded the ship, most of the weapons and armor. I finished the game with a level 25 Shepard, and . I've got 50 hours on the clock, but I left the game running several times when having dinner or watching TV. I'm very curious how they'll continue Mass Effect 3.
  11. San Francisco

I think they should rebuild those ruins. The wardens home. And open up the area around the labor/washing building behind the water tower.
  12. San Francisco

    Really?
  13. San Francisco

Nice! I had such a good time in SF, that I totally lost track of time, missed my flight, and had to stay for another 4 days. Have fun!
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

I should probably be laughing, but it actually makes me kinda sad.
  15. San Francisco

I spent my nights in the Buena Vista Motor Inn at 1599 Lombard and Gough Street. Quite a nice hotel, decent rates, and pretty much in the city centre. They have a nice terrace on the roof of the top floor, with a nice view of the Golden Gate. And if you have a car with you, like I had, there's a parking garage beneath the hotel which is free.
  16. Movie/TV recommendations

I saw Avatar yesterday. (We had the exact same 3D glasses you linked to, Kolzig) The experience was spectacular. While the story wasn't very amazing, it was believable and the characters and the world were very convincing. I think the 3D really contributed to that. There's one little detail I noticed, though: At one point in the movie, someone's looking at a photograph (can't remember the details anymore). And the picture in the photograph was in 3D as well. I found that to be a bit odd. But yeah, this movie rocks.
  17. Steam away from home

Pinball Fantasies and Flight Control on the iPhone saved my life during business trips. Especially during those long hours at the airport.
  18. Movie/TV recommendations

I just saw Drag Me To Hell. It was predictable, and at times plain absurd, but it was also funny, thrilling, and scary. Perfect film for a Halloween evening.
  19. Half Life 2: I'm really missing the point

I see your point, but I think you don't want to write your characters out of the plot if they're so popular. I don't know how serious this accident was supposed to be...
  20. Half Life 2: I'm really missing the point

Yes, Alyx was a very believable character. I actually missed her when the game ended. I still have to play the 2 episodes!
  21. Film editing software suggestions

    Ugh. I hate Avid's interface.
  22. Earthworm Jim Ear Split

Doesn't seem very playable on the iPhone. I'd get cramp in my fingers after a while.
  23. Lucidity

Depends. I would say it hovers between mediocre and good. I haven't played the game yet, but for only 10 bucks I will pick it up regardless of what reviewers are saying.
  24. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

    Anyone familiar with Milow? Yesterday I got his latest live album; "Maybe Next Year". <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcnmJT_xHO8&hl=en&fs=1&hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcnmJT_xHO8&hl=en&fs=1&hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
  25. Lucidity

Hmm, this game hasn't been reviewed much, but according to Metacritic and GameRankings the average score hovers around 70%.
