  1. Minecraft

Progress update on the Cathedral: I finished the second half of the walls, put a roof on it, and currently busy with putting glass in the windows. ToDo: - Adding details to walls and columns - More lighting - Building a balcony at the highest point of the tower Pictures:
  2. Minecraft

Some images from my cathedral. A work in progress.
  3. Minecraft

My new project is a cathedral. The Notre Dame of Thumbs Country. It's going to be big!
  4. Minecraft

I recorded a video of me showing around my small cabin (with fireplace!), the zombie and creeper infested area around it (from which I barely escaped alive) and a tower with diving plank. Enjoy my fascinating 7-minute video: (which also served as an excuse to try out iMovie and QuickTime screen recording.)
  5. Minecraft

Hmm. Client needs updating, and download link for Mac doesn't work at the moment. Just as my precious wooden cabin burn to the ground. Plus a small forest. Sorry about that.
  6. Minecraft

My client crashed often, until I remembered to set viewing distance to "normal". No more crashes afterwards.
  7. Minecraft

I've never encountered those slime monsters you speak of. And I explored many caves. How odd.
  8. Alien swarm

It's been a while since I touched Alien Swarm. Are they planning on adding new campaigns or what?
  9. Minecraft

Remember that fire can travel as far as three blocks, if you ever decide to build a fireplace in a wooden cabin. Kingz, I heard Fraps is an excellent program to record gameplay footage (PC).
  10. Minecraft

Indeed. Not all pigs drop meat when you kill them, though. And if you cook the pork, it will give you more healing points.
  11. Minecraft

Huh? I remember reading the world is infinite. It keeps on generating new land when you walk to the edges.

  13. Worms reloaded

I'm stuck in the campaign where you have to reach the exit using the @#$%! rope. I suck at using it and the time limit is merciless.
  14. I hate you, Sony

Without the competition of piracy, I believe customers would be even more fucked than we already are.
  15. Worms reloaded

Okay, then I misunderstood. I thought backflip = small jump.
  16. Worms reloaded

Small jump backwards: Hit jump key (Enter) twice Rotating girders: jump key (Enter) Scaling the girders is indeed not possible anymore. And I agree with the other points mentioned. This game is watered down from Armageddon. Hell, I even like World Party better.
  17. WTF is Telltale's new game?

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
  18. Mafia II

RPS has now posted their (late) review. It's the best review of Mafia 2 I read because it really puts the finger on the sore spot.
  19. **Remo hacked/phished on steam!**

Is this account hacking only possible through phishing or are there other ways to lose it?
  20. Alien swarm

I finished all missions on Easy and Hard, and now I'm trying Insane. It's quite addicting, and even more fun when playing with friends who have a mic.
  21. Mass Effect 2

Yeah, this is the reason I haven't bought any DLC yet, and I'm still not sure if I will. I played the free DLC missions after completing the game, and it just didn't feel right. The story's too important to ignore.
  22. Piracy has hit a new low....

I think piracy played a significant role in the rapid development of portable music players and on-line stores/streaming services. MP3 quickly became very popular because it was possible to download an album much faster than before. This triggered the popularity of the MP3 player, the iPod, and later the on-line store (iTunes) and streaming services (Spotify). We probably would have moved away from playing CD's in a portable CD player anyways, but I doubt it would've gone so fast. Maybe we'd been stuck with the mini disc for few more years, or something.
  23. iSteam

I just played through and finished Portal again. The performance on my Mac was decent. Got 60 FPS most of the time, and 30 when looking through a portal. It performs better when running Windows in Bootcamp, though. But hey, I can't believe I forgot what a fantastic game this is. <object width="873" height="525"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDj1fYlwR00&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDj1fYlwR00&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="873" height="525"></embed></object>
  24. Captain August resumes

Oh, cool. I used to follow this every week.
