My motel (Buena Vista Motor Inn) was at Lombard Street. I'm still proud of how I was able to park my big Impala in that very, very tiny underground garage they had. It had an incredibly steep and narrow entryway as well.

I decided not to buy ME3 as well when I found out about it a few weeks ago on RPS. It's not even about it being EA, or it being a crap system. It's just that I don't want to install, like, 10 game managers in the future. I like to keep my games in a central library and that library is Steam. The only way I would switch would be if Origin somehow got a larger library than Steam, and if I could register my Steam games on Origin as well. In other words: When pigs fly.

Finally finished The Witcher last week. Loved it, even though at times I felt overwhelmed with all the stuff going on. On to The Witcher 2!

My Dell wfp2407 is almost 5 years old now, and I'm still incredibly happy with it. My next monitor will definitely be a Dell again.

Finished Alpha Protocol. A great game. Sure, the AI showed some flaws, the boss fights didn't really fit in most of the time, but I still think some of those negative reviews I've read were way too harsh. Too bad a sequel will probably never come.

Against my expectations, The Baconing received a favorable review on RPS: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/09/06/wot-i-think-the-baconing/

That's an awfully big barrier, in that last screenshot.

Uh, I dunno. Maybe because LucasArts has a well-established reputation about its superb voice acting?

Awesome. Didn't know that. I enjoyed the story of Max Payne 1 more. And it had the best ending. It was also a much lengthier game. But I must also say that Max Payne 2's gameplay was an improvement. Not a big one, but enough for me to notice. Its story was less interesting, and I didn't like the frequent switching between past and current time. And they didn't have to change the character model for Max, if you ask me. My interest in the forthcoming Max Payne 3 has been renewed, although after reading about it, I'm afraid they will screw it up.

Finished Max Payne (again) and Max Payne 2 (for the first time) last week. I'm surprised how well the game's graphics hold up today. Both games are very balanced in difficulty, which means, for me, I never had a moment where I got frustrated and came close to quitting. Nor did I find it too easy. I don't know why it took me so long to play Max Payne 2. I already enjoyed the first one when it came out.

Yeah, I kinda agree with you, though personally I paid for what was already there. I wouldn't have bought it if it had, say, half the features that it did.

Hmm, maybe. But when I think about parody games I think of Duke Nukem and Serious Sam.

I just finished Far Cry. Its gameplay holds up pretty well today, but I cringed at the way they handled their "storytelling". The stereotyping is on-par with Duke Nukem, except this game takes that shit seriously. But also technically. Bad voice acting, abrupt cuts, etc... I also think the game is too long. I recall 2 moments when I thought it was (finally!) over, but instead it went on after yet another plot twist. I think it's the gameplay that kept me motivated enough to continue.

But... but... I have great plans for my National Park and its camp site. -
Am I the only one who never completed any of the GTA games, or even got halfway? I always lose interest after retrying a failed mission for the 3rd time.

Ah! Found it! The game I think you're remembering is "Crash Site" and it's mentioned in a very old article on Adventure Developers here: http://www.adventuredevelopers.com/featuredetail.php?action=view&featureid=6&showpage=2 The demo can be downloaded from here: http://www.eviltrailmix.com/crashsite.zip

I remember that game. Didn't the spaceship crash after hitting an asteroid, and wasn't the pilot drunk? This was all shown in a short intro scene. On the planet you met 3 hooded figures with funny names. You were a ghost, but it looked more like a blue blob. Damnit, I can't remember the title either. This game was most definitely not made with AGS, but with a ClickTeam engine (Games Factory, MultiMedia Fusion or Click & Play).

I like the new double track subway to Dust City, but the tunnel is crawling with mobs now. Does this happen because they have more room to spawn? During my last ride I bumped in on a skeleton, which stopped the cart. I shudder to think about this happening with a creeper.
