Did anyone see 'The Terminal ' with Tom Hanks? It's about this guy, from a fictional Eastern European country, who can't leave the airport because his country isn't officially recognized anymore after a war broke out. So he's stuck in the terminal for an undefined period of time. So after a while he starts to adapt and sets up residence in the airport. Quite an original concept, based on a similar situation on an airport in Paris. Directed by Steven Spielberg, by the way. --Erwin

I'm not sure if it was just a collection of pilot episodes. I'm pretty sure these cartoons came from, then independent, animators or animation studios. The majority of the cartoons on that show didn't get continued into a series or spinoff. Doesn't Cartoon Network have an in-house studio, by the way? I believe Dexter, Johnny, Cow & Chicken and Powerpuff are from 'Cartoon Network Studios'. --Erwin

I'm planning to see the Grudge next Saturday. Anyone seen it already? --Erwin

I remember a certain feature on Cartoon Network, in which they showed short cartoons from unknown, aspiring animators/studios. I don't remember the name of this feature, but I do remember that the very first episode of Dexters Laboratory was shown in that program. Must've been 8 years ago. Maybe even longer. --Erwin

Why am I the only one who knows how to play Half-Life 2?!

A colleague of mine used cheats shortly after the Ravenholm part. I'm amazed, because I finished HL 2 without cheats and I only died once (fell off the deck in the very last battle in the game). Normally I have much more trouble finishing a game without without cheats. And I always die very much as well. --Erwin -
I still think Dexter's Laboratory kicks Powerpuff ass. --Erwin

It's true, although we are definitely speeding up this phenomenon. --Erwin

There are so many legends. One of them involves a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. --Erwin -

It's a surname. --Erwin -
The 7th Guest was the first adventure game that I played on that new 486! It was also the first CD-ROM game I bought! It didn't run that smoothly, though. I remember the sound would crackle whenever an animation was running. --Erwin

You're a lunatic. --Erwin

I can only add to the enthusiasm in this thread. It's a great game! --Erwin

We've had quite a storm last weekend, that started Thursday, but now the weather is fine. It's still weird, though, because it's supposed to be freezing here. Or raining. But we've had Spring-like weather for weeks (minus the stormy days). Today it was a very mild day, 11 degrees Celsius. --Erwin

Actually, a lot of Irish folk moved to the States. There are quite a lot of them in NYC, for example. By the way, is Solomon a typical Irish name? --Erwin -
My first PC was a 286, which didn't have a soundcard either. Hell, it didn't even have a hard disk! Then one day I got this brand new, very expensive, 486 DX 66 Mhz with a single speed CD-ROM drive and... a Creative Labs SoundBlaster! W00t! And the hard drive was a whopping 60 MB!!! I still have that machine somewhere, and I think it even works. Might be fun to dig it up someday and start playing all these neat pirated games I had. --Erwin

That's funny. I had Professor Plum in my first attempt, and I've always got '0 correct' in my PM box --Erwin

Hey, that looks awesome! I would have done the same with that black border/shadow behind the white text! I kinda like the blue glow in the original title, though --Erwin

I like the PS boxart much better than the PC one, actually. --Erwin

EMI is without a doubt the ugliest LucasArts box I have in my possession. --Erwin

Actually, the weather is going to be pretty bad here as well. We have been warned for a storm coming our way. It's been pretty windy here since Thursday. Fortunately our telephone wires are buried in the ground (as are the power cables and TV cables). --Erwin
-
Well, yeah. They'd have to redesign the entire box, but that's not the point. The title is at the right place, considering the current, entire, design. --Erwin

Yes, I did! I never did like going to the dentist anyways, and this movie made it only worse. --Erwin

I don't think the text is too high, actually. It's located on an uninteresting part of the background. I don't really like the 'rating' and 'pc-cd' labels, though. A necessary evil, I guess... And it's great to see a game developers name on a cover again. That's really giving me this early 90's feeling, hehe. --Erwin

Wisdom teeth are prone to decay, because they're softer than your other teeth. You gotta be real lucky, if you'll never have to pull them out. I wonder if that's even possible. Most elderly have fake teeth anyways. --Erwin
