What's going on? Did somebody say "niche titles"? What's this about America not getting them? Can someone explain these things to me? Thanks. -
That's a rockin' tune... Can't get YouTube links working for it, though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAimJ-EXOF8

I can just hear you carol singing now... "On the Twelfth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me... NOTHING -- BECAUSE TECHNICALLY IT WASN'T CHRISTMAS! On the Eleventh Day of Christmas my true love gave to me..." You get the idea ;-P

Yeah, I was thinking that lying in bed last night... Surely this is easily defeated by turning on the lights? Also, I'm not sure if cars driving in pitch blackness will increase their safety...? -

LA GAME SPACE By: Some guys who want to create LA Game Space Type: Games (for you) / Game Space (for them) about: Donate $15 and get 30 experimental games by some cool bods / Help fund a new thing in LA Why You Should Care: This is a video games site, right? You get 30 games, not available anywhere else, made from indie game makers, media/net artists, etc. Who? How about the people who made Bit.Trip.Runner, the guys behind Aventure Time, the dude behind QWOP, and lots more who are probably even cooler, but I'm not "indie" enough to recognize. BONUS! You help create this awesome (looking) Game Space thing in Los Angeles, where they will try and do weird and wonderful things with games that have never been done before. Sounds cool to me! Wow, people are blasting through this thing. Last time I posted the cube looked new... now there's hardly anything left on it.
-
Well we know it's a link to a video. That's what's inside the Cube. What's in the video is another thing entirely. I can only presume it's this: https://www.youtube....l&v=xWOVkQ_Rm1g

I can't see how you can spend real money? Only coins.

Hmm. It can be quite addictive trying to get the largest amount of cublets in a single go. My current highscore is 13,695.

Well they seem to have fixed the bugs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this game is 100% free to play, right?

You'd think either of these two people might have SOME sort of online presence. Even if it was just their obituaries...?

This is the perfect opportunity for a funny moderator...... *hint hint* Also, Ben. We have a new thread now: http://www.idlethumbs.net/forums/topic/8237-its-beginning-to-look-a-lot-like-christmas/

Which socialist utopia would that be? Um, I don't have insurance for accidental damage, no. A bit of a pain!

I can see it now, "L'Note de Francais" starring Jim Carrey. Directed by Wes Anderson. Yes, I admit that the contents of the letter are woefully underwhelming, however it was my female American friend who found this thing as a child in Massachusetts. I'm sure she'd be interested to learn more... if I could find something interesting about it to share with her. Hmmm.

Huh, interesting! Thanks for that. Along with the letter, a 50 Franc note from 1946 was included with it. It was found, hidden in a panel, in a wooden chest on a scrap heap. It'd be cool to find more on these people, but Google isn't coming with anything. Not even the address
