Hmmm. The weather sucks most days... Welcome to England!
-
As an aside, there is actual real gameplay footage of Duke Nukem Forever (aka Who Cares Anymore?) on 3D Realm's site. It's pretty, but um, after 12 years it'd have to be bowel-shattering for me to care.
-
It's got nothing to do with the original DN games, does it?
-
Good stuff. What's it in aid of? Anyone know?

Hahaha! That's the best trailer ever. I've only seen it with the sound off, but it's hilarious! How amazingly crap.

Welcome to London! We should meet up for a drink sometime. I live in Clapham and my girlfriend lives in South Woodford (east London), so I'll usually be around/in between those two places.

Professor Layton and the Underpant Pillage

No idea, but there's actually a playable demo on the official website (yes, your mouse pointer is the DS stick thing), so it might give you an idea? -
I doubt that the ION kit will work, as Red Octane would have to allow third parties to create instruments for their game, right? I'm not completely sure about all the techo-legalities involved. It's all a bit weird! Great news on the MIDI interface thing... does that mean ANY electronic drum kit will work? Maybe Activision/NeverSoft have finally got things sorted

I've been hurting peripherals for years... From one of my first posts here: http://www.idlethumbs.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2906&postcount=1 (Shame my little diagrams have been lost in the mists of time.)

Played the demo. Looks good! The animation style is, of course, 80's Japanese -
Final Fantasy XIII on the 360?! Woohoo!!!! Now just give me Metal Gear Solid and I have zero reason for buying PS3!
-
Is Marcus from Gears of War supposed to be in Unreal T3?
-
Holy crap, that's a lot of music! (And a pretty damn good selection, too.) Wtf?

Just because I happen to like it, here's the Metacritic scores: Mass Effect: 91 Lost Odyssey: 78 Eternal Sonata: 79 Devil May Cry 4: 84 Blue Dragon: 79 I think Mass Effect is probably a little overrated, but not much. No idea about the others
-
If you like Bioware games (Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire) then you should pick up Mass Effect. The others I'm not too sure about.
-
Well, that's a bit of a shame, but, of course, I'm not surprised. Metacritic rating is only 75%, which sounds about right. As for the cash, yes, you've always earned money from the difficulty levels below, in GH. I even did a little GH2 money calculator thing a while back so I could keep track of how much I needed to "earn": http://www.thunderpeel2001.com/GuitarHero2_Helper.xlsx

Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Saucer Men From Mars
ThunderPeel2001 replied to Cigol's topic in Video Gaming
Holy shit! I can't believe I've never been there! Tottenham Court Road?! I was only there last night. Jesus, I can't believe I've never seen it. -
Ooh! It was a great idea allowing third parties to create peripherals for Rock Band. They look sweet! Are they Rock Band 1 compatible, though? Edit: Yes, it is compatible! The Goodwood drumset costs near $300 inc. shipping to Europe, so if the Ion set is cheaper shipping, it might worth the extra cost.
-
I guess I wasn't very clear, sorry. What I meant was: If you've completed Expert then you don't need to play Hard or Medium or Easy. If you've completed Hard then you won't get any extra cash for completing Medium or Easy.

Cool! £30 is a lot more reasonable. I've never even heard of CEX. Thanks for the heads-up! -
Sounds like they've lowered the difficulty somewhat(?), which is probably a good thing. Are you sure you earn cash for completing a song on lower difficulty levels? That wasn't the case with any of the other GH titles...! Maybe that 1 final star is worth a lot of money? How was it to play? Have they learned anything from the poor gem layouts of GH3?
