Ooh, something like this? (Can we say, Special Edition? -shifty eyebrow smiley-) Also, just bought TGP from your site. Hope you're making good sales from it! (How do I play it full screen?)- 178 replies

Um, about 10 - 15 minutes? I think? You can tell it's reaching the end of the game as the chorus kicks back and it starts to crescendo... Plus all the baddies from the previous 10 minutes start attacking you simultaneously. My best score is 790K, I think, which must be a marker for how long the game lasts?

Aye, I like it in action

Well the song eventually ends and the screen goes black... I assumed that was its "ending"?

Oh man! I literally game to Idle Thumbs to start an identical thread... I was just humming the tune to myself as I typed the URL! Freaky. I would also agree that it's a highly entertaining game, especially for the price. If only it had scores of your friends it would be perfect. It's listed as: I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MBIES 1N IT!!!1. But it should be pretty easy to find; I think it's the highest rated amateur made game on XBLM.

Back to 1991?

It's crazy to think that your mysterious saviour could have gotten into trouble... Quite annoying, actually! (I have to say that it's amazing anyone got involved at all! I guess it's good that you had the foresight to be defensive -- otherwise it would have been unclear who the aggressor was to an outsider.) I was suggesting that you could still report a random attack now, though. It's useful for police statistics and probably wouldn't go any further than that. (Just my 2c.)

Woo! All done! I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed that. I laughed out loud on many many occasions. There's something about brevity that's afforded you when you just do a text only adventure game without having to animate every single thing or worry about camera angles. That was absolutely, totally and thoroughly enjoyable. Without wanting to go too overboard, I'd even say it was the most fun I've recently had playing a game. Congrats! It was especially nice to have unashamedly British comedy with British references. I'm so used to having to adjust to American culture when I watch or play things that I forgot that someone could just (very literally) say "sod that, we're doing this for us". Very refreshing. Loved the characters. Although it was pretty grotesque, that's a very British humour thing and I liked it. I'm also glad it didn't go TOO far or get TOO grotty (although it came very close at times!) or TOO sleazy. The puzzles we're really good, too (not too easy, not too hard), and I'm very surprised at how original your locations were... and well realized, too. I also really enjoyed how linear it was (not something I usually like) as it afforded you the opportunity to make comments about previous happenings in the game, which really added a LOT to the atmosphere and the feeling of going "on an adventure". (What was the final death toll? Some reference to that or an "In memory of" or something would have been funny in the credits at the end ) I was also very impressed at how just about every single combination of item gave you something funny or interesting... You can tell it was made by adventure fans who were always disappointed with the stock "I can't use those two things together" endlessly repeated in a game. (Lots of good adventure game references, too ("I'm going to pick up lots of random objects") -- they never really broke the fourth wall, either, as the characters are fans of such games in their world, which is definitely a good thing... It's too easy to break the fourth wall just for a quick joke and I never like it.) At the end I was left wanting to know what Ben and Dan we're about to say... I feel kinda cheated that there wasn't a scene showing that (I'm sure it would have ended in crowd boos ). But as the game was completely free, I can't complain at all! (Does the story in the new game continue in any way from BTDT?) If I wasn't totally skint I'd give you a donation... but when I get some money, I promise that's what I'll do. Thanks very much for a highly entertaining time! I'm looking forward to playing Time Gentlemen, Please!- 178 replies

I still think things like that should be reported. I know it's inconvenient but the next time those two see someone in green socks they might have a weak heart or something. Or they may decide a knife is in order. Still, from the sounds of it, Miffy wasn't in as good shape as he thought. Even if it's too late for those guys, the police would probably still be grateful to know it happened. I've been attacked in the past, and nearly all of my friends have too. I happened to be complaining this to a police friend of mine, and about how the police should do something about it. And he asked me a simple question: "Did you report it?". No, I said. "Well, we can't do anything about crime we don't know anything about. No-one's going to put more police on the streets if they've got no reason to do it." So since then I've been determined to report such things. Except I haven't been attacked since then... Which is a good thing!

I found it thanks to Elmuerte's tip (wasn't sure if it was something I missed from an earlier room). I was looking for something like the "jaws of life" or whatever... So close to finishing now!- 178 replies

Oh man, the "Spank the Monkey Boxset". Very good.

That guy deserved some attention from the authorities, if you ask me! Yeeps. Glad to hear you're ok, though. Hope you don't end up with a root canal. Life can be pretty weird like that sometimes.

As he explained, it's a magnetic field that's no stronger than the magnetic field we already live in... So in theory, it's perfectly safe.

What if you forget, eh? "I can't come into work, I forgot to charge my car!". It'd be a shambles, I tell ye! I'd personally love to be able to lose some of the cables from beneath my desk. Ok, so it's not world changing (unless I'm forgetting something) but it is damned cool!
-
Aye, it's much better than it may look (didn't see the trailer myself).

Saw The Hurt Locker last night (just got released here in the UK). A highly recommended film!

I don't really care how it looks. The Sam & Max games don't look amazing, but that's not why I play them.

Holy crap! Really? Damn. Now I need to own one!
