Yeah! I guess I can understand you might worry that people wouldn't explore the jungle again once they'd found LeChuck and had a shortcut to him, but it was pretty annoying to have to go through the jungle every time you wanted to get to the cliff. I also wish the Well looked a bit different from the random junk from the first episode's jungle... I missed it for ages.

Oh man, I wish I'd been there. Next time! -
Not sure what bits you mean, but it might have something to do with the planned "treasure hunt" thing?

Well, just to finally weigh in on this after downloading the 360 demo... I still really hate Trials. It's the same game I bought for £1.50 on Steam and hated (albeit with a few more explosions, different levels, etc.). Maybe I just don't "get it", but I just find it infuriatingly dull. Hmm. Thinking about it, I think the problem is I don't understand how you're supposed to improve. It just seems rather random, and trial and error. And playing the same level over and over (and over) trying improve your score, without knowing if you should've jumped higher or lower, or faster or slower, or whatever, is just frustrating. I'm prepared to try again and see if I can get into it, though... Any ideas?

Midnight Club: Los Angeles doesn't so much have a curve as just random brick walls. God I hate that game so much. No racing game should employ Rubber Banding, and if it does, it shouldn't be glaringly obvious.

Strings?! Wow, that's a massive step forward!

Wow, that kind of sucks that you have to spend so much to get the Beatle-fied versions of the instruments. I wonder if there's any difference besides how they look?

Nobody was playing last Tuesday, were they? -
Before I saw HD I heard people describe it like, "Ooh, it's like looking out of a window -- it's THAT real!". Needless to say I was disappointed when I actually saw it. Now I tell people it's like putting on a pair of glasses when you didn't know you needed them. It's more like, "Oh wow, I can see loads more detail now". You don't really want to take them off again.

We're de-evolving! (Please give us our thumbs back!!!)

Was that back in March? The gist was that the game was too easy, supposedly. But that WAS five months ago, I wouldn't let it sway my opinion now (and it wasn't anywhere near as dire as the poster made it sound).

Transvestites? Gay stereotypes? Wha...?

If it wasn't for the photographic evidence, I would have insisted they were fictional!

Yeah, we're definitely going in a more fantastical direction this time around... Not sure where it's going to end up. While Merfolk/Mermaids/Mermen are at least pirate-lore, the creatures that appeared at the end (that led the way)... What were they supposed to be? I mean, if they're just larger/more intelligent versions of real animals then cool, but if they're just some random fantasy sea entity (which is what I felt they were) then that's just a bit wrong. Why not just have dolphins or something instead?

Good lord he's still making those silly videos: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/901-Tales-of-Monkey-Island Can't say I especially agree with most of what he says, but he can be ever so amusing.

Summer of Arcade 2009! Are you ready to party?

That's because it was made by evil people for evil people... Probably. -
Huh! Word on the street was that it was too easy. Guess that might be a load of rubbish then

I found Timequake to be a bit of slog, but it's still fun spending time with Kurt Vonnegut (maybe because it seems to make reference to loads of things -- that I wondered if you needed to know his previous works to appreciate).
