I'm surprised at the negativity. This game seems promising to me, and from what I can tell is being marketed very honestly. It seems like it could be rather unique even, although the AssCreed influence is pretty clear. But I'm getting something of a Dark Messiah or even Zeno Clash vibe from this, and I think the border between Mordor / Gondor seems like a place where something like this could take place so I don't see it as out of place in Tolkien's Middle Earth. I'm even more surprised to see negativity towards non-bespoke* systemic content here. Sure, it could all be some bullshit marketing or badly implemented shit, but why believe that at first sight? * I hate that word

Yeah, it's pretty amazing. I mainly participated on the AdventureGamers.com forums and a bit less on TTLG forums before/during when IdleThumbs started, but the Idle Thumbs forums has been my definite favourite place on the internet for the past 10 years, even if I was away now and then. Lately I don't even listen to the podcast very often, but I hope to correct that...

Congrats, Twig! I hope it's a good offer for you. For me, the thing that started well really only went downhill from there, but I didn't get depressed about it so that's good. And now I'm feeling a bit crazy for doing something rather stupid but also perhaps kind of awesome.

Seems that I managed to quit smoking. It's been over two weeks since I last used any form of nicotine and I now only occasionally feel a desire to smoke (usually at times when I always used to smoke, like after a meal). On the other hand i've been feeling a bit depressed for the last couple of days The first two weeks of quitting were kind of awesome -- they were hard, but I felt a lot more things, both negative and positive, as if some numbness had disappeared, but now it seems to be creeping back. Also there's a potential thing tomorrow, which kind of may change my life in a good way if it goes well, but I have no idea if it will. If it won't I just might get more depressed. Also I've gained like 4 kilos since I quit, but I had just lost them recently so it isn't that bad. [edit] this cheered me up a bit:

Now all they need to do is swap the haptic pad and button locations and it's pretty much any old console controller with a gimmick?

That trailer looks awesome and even surprised me a little as I haven't been keeping an eye on it. Can't wait to play it.

I think Limbo is worse than Gone Home but better than Brothers. On the other hand Brothers is better than Gone Home.
