Awesome, only too bad they're not the original art, but rips from the game. Also, what the fuck?
-
Well, we'll have to be flexible. If more people can play on Wednesday, that's the day we'll do it.
-
Dutch fate. edit: Also, That sounds awesome. Here a good pair will set you back at least $90. It's unbelievable.
-
If I were you I'd totally shell out for a new copy just to play with us. You're Dutch, right? You can probably find it somewhere for the price of an evening with a prostitute, a marijuana cigarette and a pair of nice clogs.

Oops, I didn't mean to be a cunt or anything. I was just trying to be funny and comment on what at the time seemed like a comical explosion of fury -- leaving the forums. I may have misunderstood the tone of the discussion though, so for that: me so solly!

Yes, it was awesome to the max. The only possibility for improvement I see is more people getting on.
-
Yeah, could you delete mine too?

Again, sorry. After I started using Thunderbird at work, my phone doesn't sync the calendar anymore, and I keep missing these things.

Fucking shitsock! Assdance! That was tonight?! I'm going on a trip early tomorrow, so I have to hit the sack almost now... I was certain it was a Thursday. Sorry! Hopefully you won't even miss me.

I think the browser is caching our usernames or something. -
Yeah, I critically failed my sarcasm. I think it's even better when a game is announced as being the first in a trilogy long after its release, and it seems as almost a cheap way to legitimize a sequel after the financial success of the first game.
-
Ahem, I think you mean someone said "no wait, this was always meant as a trilogy". Making something a trilogy as an afterthought? That's just ridiculous.
-
I can't wait to play it, but I'm a bit worried after hearing about a bug that's so bad you have to restart the game to get past it. I couldn't find any more info about it, so I'm sort of waiting for a patch, or at least me finding out how to make sure I'm not getting affected.

As a side note, I thought all the unlockable art was really awesome. I'd love to see them as wallpapers or something. And that's saying something, because I think wallpapers are fucking lame. Also, I recently asked myself why I'm willing to spend so much time perfecting time trials to get that last star. Usually, I'd only do that when procrastinating a school assignment or something. Then it hit me -- I am procrastinating -- I'm putting off playing Resident Evil 4, which scares the shit outta me.

What, right of the top of my mind? I have no fucking idea. I'm sure one would be possible to think of something if one were an adventure game designer, though, especially since you could then change the super powers of the guys to fit the puzzle. I'd imagine something LucasArts-like -- like trying to get into a contest, but there are three guys ahead of you, each with some special characteristic, and then you'll nonlinearly have to do some shit to get them all disqualified or something, I dunno. Anyway, I'll definitely get the sequel. Also, the three guys with all the sketches and different plans also smelled of such a puzzle to me. I kept trying to figure out what I was supposed to do, and was a tad disappointed when they were just... nothing. I thought maybe I'd have to get them to try the various plans in order to get me into the castle or some shit.

Anyone know if games can now start to require a HD install?
-
Today I thought "fuck it" (again!) and played this. It brought back some of that good old-time adventure game feeling only Sam & Max have been able to lately. I missed an awesome final puzzle where you sort of "line up" all the weird superheroes to do some crazy shit in combination or something, but it was still good fun.

Jesus, I wrote an essay about this when I was 12 years old: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/37526/metacritic_the_scourge_of_the_new_game_journalism.html edit: Shit, it seems they took it down.

I thought Braid was banned from indiedom after Jonathan Blow was seen wearing suspenders and a top-hat.
-
Also, I of course forgot to mention Telltale. Which reminds me, should I buy Strong Bad? And Ben There, Dan That, which I was supposed to play, but haven't yet. Well, there's no time like the present.

I think that kind of service is really prone to browser image caching problems. -
This is so fucking sad. I used to love adventure games, and I've played all the Sierra and Lucasarts games, etc. to death. Is there a secret ingredient they stopped making in the 90s, or have I just become jaded, surly and tired of having fun? I still love playing Fate of Atlantis, and I think it's genuinely fun, but is that just nostalgia? All the newer adventure games, like the tons of European ones that have appeared the last five-ten years have been absolute rubbish. OR HAVE I BECOME RUBBISH?

So, this sounds cool, but: Remember back when my Steam account got hacked by a hacker? Does that mean that I can just forget about playing Left 4 Dead online?
-
So, is this one of those things that after done you have to worry every time an update is released?
