  1. The Big FPS Playthrough MISSION COMPLETE

Your ass is grass! Far Cry was such an amazing game. So many small things I loved about it. The later game parts were bad though. I don't think I've ever played it with all settings turned up to max, my computer wasn't that great back in the day. Far Cry even had a special 64bit update patch I think? I remember seeing comparison screenshots.
  2. Full Throttle Remastered

Completed the remastered version two days ago. I was really surprised to see my game timer in Gog Galaxy state that I completed the game after just four hours of playing. Didn't remember it being that short, but the game is quite short indeed. You can really see that they had to cut a lot of content in the 90's to get the game finished in the tight schedule. There are some sloppy things that bother me with the remaster, but I really love the remastered audio. By the way, where's the demo of Full Throttle that Schafer said they found and remastered also? I'll have to now go through all the commentary audios now as well as concept art and the musics in the bonus menu.
  3. Post your face!

Awesome wedding pics! Congrats on the marriage!
  4. Full Throttle Remastered

One thing that bothers me is that it says Swtich Render Mode in the controls menu. How can that go through Q&A before launch? Ahh the remastered audio is so damn good in this game.
  5. Full Throttle Remastered

Mmmmmmmmmmmoooooorrrreeeee gaaaammmmeeeesssss! Full Throttle is out today. I wonder when will I find time to play, but there it sits in my GOG library. Would've doubledipped on PS Vita, but strangely Double Fine decided not to offer launch discount for Europe, they did give discount to Americans.
  6. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

Salmon Run was great! Also I'm really surprised that Arms is gathering speed and getting more meaty, they are doing exactly like they did with Splatoon. I think Arms will be a surprise hit for Switch. Splatoon 2 will be a big hit for sure. I finally saw the Switch console and the joy cons live today at a local electronics shop. I hadn't visited them in months and they had setup a Switch demo unit and got rid off the old Wii U demo unit they had there. Damn the console itself is small and the joy cons are so tiny! I was really surprised how neat the whole console setup is. The joy con dock thing seems to work great, the size is small but it felt alright. I have to go back there to test it properly later some other day.
  7. Seems that Wii U got the 1.1.2 update one day later than Switch. Don't know if it changes anything in the performance as I still haven't had time to return to BotW, because of Thimbleweed Park. Maybe when I'm done with Thimbleweed I can return, but then there's Full Throttle coming out next week...
  8. I haven't played Zelda for over a week now. Was sad that the 1.1.2 update did not come to Wii U when I checked yesterday.
  9. Nintendo 3DS

Last night's Nintendo Direct was great. I was wishing for release date of Dragon Quest 11 for 3DS, but Capcom and Nintendo took me by surprise and announced Monster Hunter Stories to come to Europe and Americas, awesome!
  10. By the way, I do have to say that it was kind of funny that I got both a GOG key and a Steam key for Thimbleweed Park for the Kickstarter. I took both to my own use since I'm trying to migrate over to GOG full time as it develops further, but for now started the game in Steam. Was supposed to play many many hours hours already, but have had the chance only to play two hours in the past four days.
  11. Sam & Max on Youtube

The dvd release was awesome back in the day. It was cool when Telltale made those three seasons, the animated series got a dvd print and also the book was released again. I bought the dvd and the book immediately when those came out.
  12. The Big VR Thread

Yes, that's basically what I think too. Because he was sidelined from the Oculus frontlines around the time the shitposting thing came up. Now that everything has started to normalize, they released him from his contract.
  13. God damn I love this game. I climbed a mountain again and I'm rolling around snowballs now. the way heat acts with the snowballs is just so perfect. Like I had a flamespear on my back and started rolling a snowball, it was all fine until the snowball got huge, then the spear was close to it so the ball started melting, same if I keep some heat object in Link's hand close to the snowballs.
  14. The Big VR Thread

I'm just making a guess based on his last year's shitpost history and the court case with Bethesda. No facts, just guessing they have had enough of him. He was already moved to the sidelines at Oculus some time ago.
  15. Played it for 30mins this morning. I like the game so far, but it does annoy a bit that the double click and long press the mouse have the same function and that sometimes triggers the wrong verb because if I have chosen something else that the recommended verb, it really easily registers my one click as a double click. It seems to be a bit too sensitive in registering the clicks. I would hope there would be either long press or the double click for fast moving the character and not both. Apparently they forgot the help screen from the game that has all the keyboard shortcuts, it will most likely be added in a quick patch. To me it's a bit weird that there is no credits options in the menu, so you can't look at the credits at all. I wonder will that unlock after you complete the game or is that just something they forgot?
  16. Snake Pass

I've been expecting long time for Sumo Digital to release a proper new game instead of just doing work on porting not interesting games like Crackdown 3 or Forza. I've always liked their older racing games like OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast and the Sonic Racing games. Snake Pass seems to have really cool moving controls for the snake how it moves in the levels. I think the price is nice also, just 20 dollars/euros, that will make people easier to impulse buy and experience this game even if they were not at first that much interested in it. It also launches at the perfect time for Switch when there isn't yet much content on the console. I don't have a Switch, so I'll have to think about getting it for PC or I'll wait and get it for Switch in the future.

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/03/oculus-co-founder-palmer-luckey-leaves-facebook/ Finally, Zuckerberg has thrown Luckey out.
  18. Justice League film

Justice League looks even worse that I could imagine Zack the Hack being capable of. I mean why the fuck does everything look so... bad? Completely cgi Cyborg, what? You couldn't afford to put the actor into a cyborg armor? Lets just do shitty cgi costume instead, we have the computers! I kind of like the idea of Baffleck as an older Batman but it already went to hell at the exact moment when Snyder got the control of DC's murderverse. I had no problems with Henry Cavill being cast as Superman, but Man of Steel was such a shitty movie that I never wanted to watch Batman vs Superman and I haven't other than the trailer that spoiled the whole movie before it came out. Superman Returns was not a perfect movie for many reasons, but Brandon Routh was great. It's really a huge shame he never got to continue in the role. This whole idea of copycatting Marvel and rushing movies just to try catch up with Marvel is just failure. Wonder Woman looks ok, but I have all the time this fear that they've done something to mess that up since Snyder is the one pulling the strings in the background. The guy doesn't even like or care about comic book movies or the lore.
  19. Stranger Things

Never heard of Show Me A Hero, but you are right about Black Swan, how could I forget that. She was great in that side role!
  20. Stranger Things

I was supposed to play Zelda during the weekend, but got totally sidetracked because I finally started watching Stranger Things. Ended up watching it almost all on one go and realizing in the middle of the night between Saturday and Sunday that I should go to sleep. Holy shit this was a great show! I loved all the little subtle 80's hints in the background with all the posters etc. The best thing about this show is that I knew nothing about it, I had no expectations going for it, I just vaguely remembered that people talked about it being good show last year. I usually hate kid actors, but these kids were alright! Winona Ryder was also just perfect, this was a real comeback role for her. She hasn't been like in anything good for the past 20 years I think.
  21. Oh man, it's so close, soooooo close now! I noticed that in addition to the phone book message I forgot to take part in the Ransom swearing jar thing, what was that about? Here's by the way a really interesting article about The Secret of Monkey Island: http://www.filfre.net/2017/03/monkey-island-or-how-ron-gilbert-made-an-adventure-game-that-didnt-suck/
  22. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

I hate Daylight Saving Time. It's pointless. Now that EU has again moved to the dumb DST today, is Switch automatically changing to DST time? DS, Wii, 3DS and Wii U did not. So if it does then this would be the first Nintendo console ever to automatically adjust instead of user having to manually change the time.
  23. Over three years in the making, and finally Frédérick Raynal's new game is ready. He is the guy behind such old classics like the original and best Alone in The Dark, Little Big Adventure 1&2, Time Commando, Toy Commander and Toy Racer. This is basically his first true lead developed real game since the year 2000 and I'm super hyped about this release date announcement. The game was originally a backer project as it was listed in Ulule where people could back the game. As far as I understand, Ulule is like French version of Kickstarter? They've been working on this at his Gloomywood studio since 2014. I've been following the progress of the project in on/off basis. They had a option to pre-order the game and even have a limited edition, but I haven't bought it since I'll just get the regular version when it launches. Name of the game is a really weak in my opinion, it's called 2Dark, but the game itself gives me that same kind of feeling that AitD did +20 years ago. There are some screenshots on the game's website so you can get a feel what does it look like. Story is: The game will launch March 17th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. I didn't even know that they were working on the console versions, I had thought it's initially coming only to PC.
  24. General Video Game Deals Thread

That sale this week in eShop is incredibly good. So many good games, of which I already have most, but there are some things I definitely will be picking up like Corpse Story.
