Games™ is the best actual consumer gaming magazine in the UK I'd say. Its way less full of shit than edge plus they fill half their magazine with retro stuff and seem to be comprised of gamers rather than fucking idiots. Also Rob consolvania occasionally writes for them. Edge can basically be read in one trip to the toilet - read the columns and ignore the rest then wipe your arse with the 'up my own arse' reviews. Develop sometimes has some good articles that are often more in depth: analytical type shite aimed at in-industry types i guess, some of it is crap tho ¬ MVC the trade magazine is occasicanally quite interesting but is mostly indy retailers bitching about TESCO or WALMART or companies selling their services. other than that nothing really cuts the meatloaf.... pczone has some good writers

i must say i prefer the original tempest arcade - with the funky swirly controller - definitley one of the greatest game series ever though

also the chance of being killed in towns is very low because the towns are guarded by massive burly level 60NPCs most of the time and you cant kill your own faction.... also yes i hate a load of online people but but take solace in the fact that their lives are probably meaningless. i dont think ive ever been threatened with death but i was told that i had made someones hate list by someone the other day hahaha lame.

i would have to say the most over rated filth we have to deal with comes in the form of: Halo (a well polished turd saved only by decent coop play that was removed from pc version ) Gran Turismo (as interesting as driving to the shops with your gran) Golden eye (big time, man that is a piece of SHIT!) ANY American football or baseball game.... any of them.. all of them in fact. sports management games (are you fucking crazy? )
