  1. Sick cloth sim on that puffin.
  2. Oh man it's a Jim Guthrie soundtrack, crazy. I wouldn't have expected that for a theme park sim but that's a fun choice.
  3. Still newer forum!

I got that far before realizing their custom icon support sucks and will require theme hacking and then didn't continue. I intend to eventually fix it! I also did it to troll Twig.
  4. I love the hand painted art over the top of a spherical projection. That's really cool.
  5. [RELEASE] The Hypersonic Effect

GOTWJ confirmed if it was just this pause screen and nothing else.
  6. Still newer forum!

Feature requests like that can be made here https://invisionpower.com/ but who knows if they'll listen or implement them. This forum is just off the shelf software.
  7. Sorry, there was a mistake with the original upload, and I pulled the episode but not the thread. Fixing it now. edit - Fixed!
  8. Idle Thumbs 286: I Can't Do It, Gilgamesh The fog clears, the blazing guitar solo ends and echoes off the walls. You crack your knuckles and slam Sim Ant into the SNES; your oppoent, Gilgamesh, really starts to sweat. Black ants overtake the yard, leaving a sea of red in their wake. "Please, I'll give you anything," Gilgamesh pleads. Before his colony is fully destroyed, you switch inputs, drop your GameCube onto the table (by its handle) and load up Pikmin 2. "No more, no more," he begs, his eyes watering, hands shaking. You can't stop. Discussed: Civilization VI, Sim Ant, Nintendo Switch, Waluigi Land, Cities: Skylines Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
  9. Idle Weekend October 31, 2016: Happy Halloween 2015! Danielle is streaming for 72 hours straight, so we're playing a trick (or treat) on you this Halloween Weekend: by offering you our never-before-heard Halloween test episode from last year. Marvel at our hot SOMA talk. Shiver as we discuss horror in games. Reach for the bloodied knife when we talk about the books and movies we were really into a year ago. It's a true chiller-thriller weekend! Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
  10. Idle Weekend October 22, 2016: Crazy Uber Sit down, friends. It's time for a frank chat about expectations, marketing hype, and why Nintendo keeps naming things so... sexy... this fall. Then we SWITCH over to a robust mailbag, and a little tour of great American cities. Don't forget to give your Crazy Uber driver five stars! Discussed: The Last Guardian, Red Dead Redemption, Nintendo Switch, System Shock, BioShock, BioShock Infinite, Burnout Paradise, Burnout 3, Devil in a Blue Dress, Ip Man (film) Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
  11. Sure sign me up. (The above is to be considered my first content contribution to this project.)
  12. Oh at this point it's just things like Mario Maker levels that have codes? Still the worst.
  13. Idle Thumbs 285: Candor, Expertise, and Candor The future arrived and for once, we liked it. This is very confusing, but it's definitely happening now. This is really when it's happening. Nick and Jake get their hands on PlayStation VR and play the heck out of it. Chris, who prefers a more traditional immersive themed environment, visits the immaculately produced Tokyo DisneySea and can't contain himself. Where does VR sit next to the rest of gaming? Is there space for the player in stories that aren't about them, especially in a medium fixated on literally putting players in the heroe's shoes? What does this have to do with a fictional New York in the middle of Japan, with a janitor who, when your back is turned, starts emitting cartoon sound effects and giving high fives to everyone around him? Find out moments from now. Step into this pod, press play, immerse yourself, and please tell a friend about what you experienced here. Discussed: PlayStation VR, Super Hypercube, Job Simulator, Batman Arkham VR, Thumper, The Playroom VR, Wayward Sky, The Future, The Entertainment, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokyo DisneySea, Sour Flush Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
  14. This is a bummer but probably true. "You should be the best at every verb you have as a player" is truly everyones expectation (including mine) but is also shitty and limiting.
  15. Does it need to be docked to broadcast to the tv? I'm guessing yes but...
  16. Still newer forum!

    Yes we will do this.
  17. Still newer forum!

Haha yeah it doesn't resize the icons. I thought it would. Twist.
  18. Idle Thumbs 284: Live From The Past Welcome to episode 4186-0000-028C-E9F8! We bring you word from a simpler time. A better time, before the mess we're in today. A time when you played World of WarCraft. Join us in this life until Chris Remo returns from Japan and tells us of what he saw there. Discussed: Virginia, World of WarCraft: Legion, Nidhogg 2, GameMaker, Nintendo NX Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
  19. The Big VR Thread

I've still only played the demo but I had a great time.
  20. I was a junior in high school the year of that ad so I must have barely aged past the shows it was run during.
  21. Idle Weekend October 8, 2016: Dangerous Realism We're going to some scary places this weekend on the show. The dark hearts of our friends, playing Subterfuge. The streets of Mafia III's New Bordeaux. The Idle Weekend inbox, after dissing magical realism last week. But don't worry, friends! We brought our finest weapon: our imaginations. It's a very magical (but still totally real) episode of Idle Weekend! Discussed: Subterfuge, Mafia III, Dishonored, Danger Man, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager, Batman: The Animated Series, Farscape, Napoleon of Notting Hill, The Leftovers, Grayson, Luke Cage, WestWorld Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
