  1. Pinball Club

Those in the San Francisco area might also be interested in the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda: http://pacificpinball.org/
  2. (By the way, if someone wants to run a server I'll happily put it up on idlemc.com and set up the srv records and stuff)
  3. Cubedhost was a good host. I think I was paying $30 or so. There just wasn't enough interest.
  4. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

Yeah I've been sort of intentionally avoiding all the Broken Age updates and the early access release, because I'd like to play it as a whole game. But that also means I hadn't seen any art or animation or anything, and it was super impressive.
  5. Well, those people should probably open up a little and really stretch themselves to learn more.
  6. San Francisco Residents!

I was there for a bit but it was super crowded so I left at 6 or so.
  7. It seemed like a safe bet that in 2013 people would know goatse was nsfw.
  8. Good news, Jake, archive.org has you covered on goatse: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://goatse.cx
  9. Pokémon X and Y

Eh, I decided to just sell the game. I don't think it's for me.
  10. Pokémon X and Y

So I bought the game (X) because I'd never played a Pokemon game before, and I was curious. Coming into the franchise with zero knowledge makes it really obvious that they're assuming their target audience is 100% players of past games in the franchise. I had to resort to Google to see what the difference between the two versions was, because it seems to just be an assumption that everyone knows that at this point. I'm still not 100% sure what I'm actually doing in the game, besides walking around in tall grass hoping to collect all of the kinds of Pokemon. Occasionally I'll run into NPCs and fight them, but all the battles seem to be really easy. Am I missing something here (Again, bearing in mind I've literally never seen a Pokemon game before)?
  11. Spacebase!

    Yes, and also yes.
  12. Spacebase!

'm starting with thee construction workers to get the basics built, then I moved two of them to miners and one to technician. The third game, the technician came inside but wouldn't actually do anything. In all games the miners just idled by the rocks I'd designated until they ran out of air and died.
  13. Spacebase!

I've played three games now and it's happened every time.
  14. Spacebase!

    Also yes.
  15. Spacebase!

Yeah, and all the rooms said their oxygen level was 100%
  16. Spacebase!

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but once you have some rooms and an airlock built, how do you get the crew to go inside? I built them this cool space base but they just hung out outside and died.
  17. Nintendo 3DS

The software drives the 'upper' and 'lower' screens at different aspect ratios, so how could they make them the same size?
  18. I think it's more because I'm the only one in the group not actively founding a company and/or working feverishly on a video game
  19. No, despite my best nagging.
  20. Tone Control is a Podcast!

Where'd you find those links? feeds.idlethumbs.net is a CNAME for feedburner, which most of the newer podcasts don't use out of suspicion that Google will kill it any day now.
  21. On the subject of last-gen Nintendo handhelds appearing as communicators in Nintendo games, Mario gets emails on a GBA SP in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
