Man, no new Bugle episodes until September. Not a huge surprise, given John Oliver's new show, but still.

Sean he's clearly referring to the secret version of the podcast that comes out every day. -
Dreamfall came on 6 CDs, but only in the US. They were actually on a miniature spindle inside the box. The worst.

Yeah it's other midroll podcasts. I know Earwolf uses them, and all their podcasts are on there. -

Yep, the only time peanut butter gets weird here is when it's the reduced fat stuff. Even the least peanutty 'normal' peanut butter has some bonus oils and/or molasses added to stabilize it (to prevent the peanut oil from separating).

Don't give GoDaddy money for anything, ever. They're a terrible company.

I backed at the same level as you, I think, and I suspect this is the thing that'll make me end up not playing the game.

Do you also show up to parties and pick fights right off the bat? That's why people notice post counts in your case. If you've just registered to argue, please just go away now. If you'd like to contribute productively, awesome.

Transit to the Richmond is consistent, if not fast. The 38-Geary and 1-California, for example, run all night and pretty frequently. They're just not quick. If you are commuting during 'normal' hours, there are expresses (I take the 1AX) that only make a few stops in the Richmond, then none at all 'til the financial district. Those are super fast. Source: I live in the Richmond and commute to SOMA. Also: Almost no building in SOMA will be rent-controlled, so you can pretty much expect crazy market-based swings in rent between leases.

Forum feature requests aren't really something I can help with, since we use third party forum software. Sorry

I'd say start getting comfortable with the idea of not being walking distance from work now. Muni's not great, but it's miles better than transit options in LA. Don't discount other areas of the city.

Where is that scales exercise? That's basically what I was hoping it'd start with. Instead it seems to want to jump into stuff like slides, which get way too advanced immediately given that I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing with my fingers to play basic notes. Or I can jump into songs I guess, but I'd kind of like to learn more basics before doing that.

I picked this up to try out based on a bunch of peoples' recommendations. I really like it, but my biggest gripe is that it does basically nothing to teach you how to properly finger what you're playing. Especially once the early lessons throw multiple strings at you, it just leaves you on your own to stumble though fingering the phrases it's asking you to play. Unless I'm missing something.

If it helps, they're American Apparel shirts. They run narrower than normal, and a little longer. I'd say if a 2x shirt is a little baggy on you you're fine with 2X, otherwise I'd go 3X.

They're always mp3, so I'm not sure why that'd be happening.

It's in a pretty forgettable location unless you ride the L a lot.

Is the an extensive "History of inventions" book out there?
tabacco replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Books
I grew up reading that book, and ended up hunting down a new copy a year or two ago just because I loved it so much. It's still great -

http://www.amazon.com/Off-Wizard-Magic-2-0-Book-ebook/dp/B00EF8Z32I?tag=idlthu-20 Basically I picked this up because it was a cheap Kindle book and I go through books like mad on the bus. But it ended up being a really fun read. The short version of the premise is that a guy figures out reality is just a computer program he can manipulate the data files for, immediately gets arrested for bank fraud, and decides to go try and be a wizard in medieval England. It's super goofy, and certainly not a book of Substance™, but worth the not-very-long it'll take you to read it. Think of a sillier version of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.

It basically never gets bogged down in time travel mechanics. It essentially says "Well, whatever!" and moves on with the story.
