  1. Crota 2Day: A Destiny 2 Forum Thread

So hey, not to completely necro this (a two month necro?), but who's in for the beta this week? Would love to spend a night or two mucking around.
  2. Idle Streaming Community: Twitchy, Tasty

Hey y'all! I stream from time to time mostly through PS4, but I'm planning to set up a PC rig at some point soon! https://spooky.church (or https://twitch.tv/aprettycooldude whichever)
  3. Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

Hey all! Last time I was a *terrible human* and prompted for healthy food, so guess what, we're doing it again! The theme is Rabbit Food, with a preferred emphasis on salads, but really as long as it's a veggie-focused dish, chase your dreams. The rules! Your salad should have *at least* three veggies in it, and the focal point of the dish should be non-meat/meat substitute. Pasta and rice salads are 100% okay by me, especially since one of my personal go-tos in the summer (which it is not) is an orzo salad. GO NUTS (note: walnuts are a great salad topper)
  4. Biggest of ups to Brendonsmall! The little Mario figures went straight to my office desk, the candy straight to my mouth, and the CC celluloid picks are a huge improvement (for me personally!) over the Dunlop delrin picks I was using before. I hadn't experimented with different guitar picks and my tremelo game has improved almost overnight; the firmness of the pearl picks allows for a more consistent pluck on an upstroke. Also Rilen it was me! They were supposed to leave a note
  5. Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

Oh sorry, absolutely always swap veggie products in for meat as needed; I would never want to exclude anyone!
  6. Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

Hey y'all! I've essentially vanished off the forums because I live in the Slack now, but sbm has convinced me to get off my rump and post an idea. I think it would be a lot of fun to do "healthy" versions of popular fast food meals. That's a fairly open-ended concept, so there's something for everyone here. To pare it down a bit, I'm thinking of just doing the Big 4: McDonald's, Taco Bell, KFC, and Subway. I want to leave the recipes fairly open for interpretation, but let's say the core idea is to stay the same. If you're gonna make a sweet onion chicken teriyaki, those ingredients still have to factor in, but you're welcome to change up spices (and pare down the lettuce).
  7. Pokemon Moon (beautiful) and Sun (more beautiful)

I thought it was fine and exactly what I expected from a 6-minute Direct. That Pokemon Bank news is *fantastic* though, and I don't understand why anyone could be upset about "lack of information" when they announced that.
  8. Uncharted (4 and The Nathan Drake Collection)

The most impressive thing about the Uncharted games is how at the time they each set the gold standard for animation on a particular element. Uncharted 1 had better looking water than any game up to that point, Uncharted 2 did that for snow, and 3 did it for sand. I loved them all when I played them initially, but definitely realized more hitches when I went back through them in the Collection. That said, I still think they're great games if you view them from the perspective of "Indiana Jones, but a video game."
  9. The Happy Thread

As of today I have had a full week in my mood journal where every day is above a 5 (out of 10). This is the first time that's happened since I started keeping track a few months ago! As a bonus, if I include 5s, it's actually been 9 days Bonus Round: I got a job offer for a job I've wanted! It's a small company about 10 minutes from where I live, great group of people (I met the whole staff), and I'm super excited. Also, my current job is intensely stressful and I'm glad to get out of that.
  10. STREET FIGHTER 5 (PS4/PC exclusive)

eRonin legit curious how you play on keyboard. Specifically with regards to 360s and I guess therefore just Zangief in SFV. I used to play GGXX#Reload on a keyboard in high school, but that was because we played it in the lunchroom on someone's laptop, and GG has almost no 360s outside Potemkin (who I did not play).
  11. STREET FIGHTER 5 (PS4/PC exclusive)

PC specs are actually pretty light! Per Capcom: OS Version Recommended: Windows 7 64-bit Processor Minimum: Intel Core i3-4160 @ 3.60GHz Recommended: Intel Core i5-4690K @3.50GHz Memory Minimum: 6 GB DDR3 Recommended: 8 GB DDR3 Graphics Minimum: Nvidia GTX 480 (or higher)Nvidia GTX 570 (or higher) Nvidia GTX 670 (or higher) Recommended: GTX 960 Network Broadband Connection RequiredDirectX Version Minimum: DirectX 11 Recommended: DirectX 11 Sound Card Minimum: DirectX compatible soundcard or onboard chipsetThe real question is who has 6GB of RAM in their machine? 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, y'all. Maybe 24. MAYBE. Also who's playing stick vs. pad vs. keyboard (why/how)?
  12. STREET FIGHTER 5 (PS4/PC exclusive)

Nah I ain't gonna shit on your dick, and neither will most folks I imagine. Just play Chun and spam lightning legs and you'll be fine. So question, who's playing PS4 and who's playing PC? I'm actually going to be rolling PC, since I don't feel like buying a new stick just yet (I have a Qanba Q4), which I guess means I'm also buying a new GFX card soon!
  13. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

I need this in my veins
  14. The terrible wallet scourge of the Amiibo.

Wolf Link amiibo details are out! Aside the already mentioned "it does stuff in The Next Zelda," it also unlocks a new dungeon in Twilight Princess HD. It's "The Twilight Cave," and I imagine it's something akin to the Savage Labyrinth but with More Puzzles.
  15. The terrible wallet scourge of the Amiibo.

Preorders are up for Lucas and the four new Animal Crossing amiibo in the USA! Animal Crossing: Mr. Resetti, Blathers, Celeste, Kicks Get pumped!
  16. The terrible wallet scourge of the Amiibo.

Shovel Knight is out today! My local Target had exactly seven, so if you're looking to get it from a brick-and-mortar, I'd get there ASAP.
  17. Xenoblade Chronicles X - good bye Earth

Not at all. I'm playing this purely single-player and having a great time, so I think a dwindling player base won't really hurt it in the long run. Splatoon is definitely a Do It Now game (and also the better one of the two >_>).
  18. Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

My lasagne is usually: Noodles Ricotta Sauce Mozzarella Noodles Ricotta Sauce Mozzarella
  19. Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

    I'm all in on this!
  20. The terrible wallet scourge of the Amiibo.

Update! Shovel Knight is starting to show up online; while not available for pre-order just yet, you might want to get your F5 ready... Best Buy
  21. STREET FIGHTER 5 (PS4/PC exclusive)

The superior "what are you standing up for" is still Guilty Gear last year (that SportsCenter coverage!), but man, remember when Wolfkrone was top 8 consistently? Outside of the Japanese "Gods" (blegh), the player base has changed so much throughout SFIV. Latif made the finals, WolfKrone used to be unstoppable, we've had the rise of so many new players recently (801Strider, Bonchan, Jayce, MY BOY SNAKEEYEZ), and I'm looking forward to how many people are excited for and will join with SFV. Also I think noting the community's general acceptance (YouTube/Reddit aside) regarding Ricki's transition was *huge*, and I was thrilled that I never heard it mentioned on commentary. There were a few pronoun slipups early on that were immediately corrected, and that was it. The more I think about it, the more that might be the story of the Street Fighter IV/UMvC3 era for me.
  22. RAW is shit but New Day gifs are gold aka wrasslin talk

That's tricky, because WWE's version of the Attitude Era is "everything was awesome and WCW sucks," and the Angry Internet Commentary opinion is "but that cruiserweight division tho" Brandon Stroud (love him or hate him) does a weekly Retro RAW/Nitro report over at With Spandex that helps provide some context. He's only just getting into the end of '96, so there's a ways to go, but it'll help provide a jumping off point. Last one was Pillman 9mm.
  23. Xenoblade Chronicles X - good bye Earth

I took a break because Saints Row IV Re-Elected was $10 during a PSN Flash Sale and it's one of my favorite games ever. Gonna pick it back up after New Year's, I think. I got a little overwhelmed post Chapter 8, since a lot of new things open up. My compulsion to complete *as much as possible before doing main story* took a toll as well, since a party of level 30 Skells make it possible to truck enemies way above your level. I had a successful kill on Dieter, the Epicure (a level 39 Grex that tends to get Up In Your Business during the Welcome Back, Conner mission at the beginning of the game) when I was level 34 or something, and that... that should not be allowed.
  24. Gear VR

Definitely gonna download vTime tonight and give it a shot. It's got a "meet up with friends" mode, apparently, so it might be cool to get a group of VR Thumbs sittin' around staring at creeks.
  25. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

Names I used growing up: Nintendo Entertainment System: Nintendo (later N.E.S.) Super Nintendo Entertainment System: "sness" Sega Genesis: Sega Sega Saturn: Saturn Sega Dreamcast: Dreamcast Sony Playstation: Playstation Sony Playstation 2: PS2 Nintendo Game Boy: Game Boy Game Boy Color: Game Boy Game Boy Advance: Game Boy, only used "Game Boy Advance" when explaining to my parents what games I wanted for Christmas
