  1. TITANFLAPS 2

They doubled the number of burn cards you could hold sometime around the point where they made the DLC free. They also had an invite-only ranked game system which I never really understood. I quit sometime before the initial DLC release, but I still put north of 100 hours into the game. Titanfall was hurt by the audience's expectation more than anything else. By far the best multiplayer shooter of this decade so far.
  2. The Big FPS Playthrough MISSION COMPLETE

That level was enough to make me uninstall the game
  3. The Witness by Jonathan Blow

It's a price issue. $40 is a big ask, where Braid was what...$10 at launch?
  4. No Man's Sky

There's no denying that the art direction of NMS is flawless, or nearly so. What a beautiful game.
  5. TITANFLAPS 2

I don't think this qualifies as a traditional console shooter. Insurgency is staunchly a PC-ass PC game.
  6. Another Red Redemption, Dead

The writing is garbage, sure, but the game itself was immensely playable. I enjoyed the narrative I built for myself, not the one written by the Brothers Houser.
  7. Another Red Redemption, Dead

Mexico's only an interlude. You go back to the States for the last act. Great fucking game. RDR's the only R* title I had finished up until that time. (I've since completed GTAV, but didn't play nearly as much of it as I did RDR.)
  8. Phones

I have a Sony Xperia Z3. The only thing I don't particularly care for are the T-Mobile bloatware apps. The device is waterproof (IP68 rating), has a battery that lasts three days without a charge and features Sony's fantastic camera.

    Did y'all lose your cameras?
  11. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Unlikely. The main character's name is Jyn Erso, which might as well be Jan Ors & Kyle Katarn thrown in a Blendtec. But there definitely appear to be nods to or ideas lifted from Dark Forces. I like this more and more the more I watch the trailer. The CG and set design are maybe better than they were in TFA.
  12. Photos of things

My friend decided to quit his job and buy a van:

Thanks! I'm trying to hone my eye before my trip to Spain in May. I want to feel comfortable behind the lens and ready to snap lots of photos.

  16. It sounds like your experience with BEAST and Kerbal mirrors my frustration with watching Metal Gear Scanlon. At first I found it hilarious, but now I just find it tedious.
  17. The Next President

Felt the Bern during the debate. Bought a t-shirt.
  18. Automation: Where did all the jobs go?!

Is this spurred by the latest Boston Dynamics video? Because that shit is frightening.
  19. Photos of things

Thanks. I'm pretty sure everyone has a hard time getting inspiration in his own backyard. I've been forcing myself to go on walks with the camera with the express purpose of taking some photos. Even if I don't have my Ansel Adams moment, I get some exercise in the process.
  20. Devil Daggers - Cutting to the Quick

    This is the best game.
  21. It ended up being--you'll never guess--a failing Seagate HDD in that laptop. With the SSD & 8GB of RAM, the machine actually manages Win10 pretty well.
  22. Photos of things

Great baby shots. Thanks. It's a 35mm f2.8 macro lens, so it's quite versatile.
  23. Photos of things

Those last two are killer. I finally bought a good lens. I paid $300 for it. It's used, but you can't tell that by looking at it--the body is immaculate. These pictures are unedited, just resized: I like this lens a lot, fellas.
