Here's a cool article about the shuffle and professionalism http://www.liquiddota.com/forum/dota-2-general/496316-professionalism-in-dota-2-signs-of-the-times It compares the standards set for player behaviour and casters and talks about EG, who are fine with (don't care one bit) how their players behave since the team's (org, not players) income is from sponsor exposure, not community goodwill.

If you pick up cooking you can make dyes pretty fast, I could buy the strawberries for those on the AH but not the dye itself. After you got the dyes it's free to swap colours, I like that part a lot. Also I found out you can take off those dumb WoW size pauldrons as well as the helmet!

There were some pretty great scenes in the last part, after Kaer Morhen, like There's other great stuff but I remembered that one the most.

Teachers of physics in all my school years except the last one, before uni, taught physics formulas by drawing this triangle and writing in F=m*a. To find out what the formula for what you're looking for the task is, just cover that one up and the triangle tells you if it's m*a, F/m or F/a! It works for work, electrical currents, etc. It's absolute garbage. Then you get to heat exchanges and this triangle does not work. You need to use formulas that have more than 3 variables like Or more if you have vaporization, etc. I think most of the class ended up purely memorizing the equation and plugging numbers into it.

The Kingkiller Chronicle (Name of the Wind, The Wise Man's Fear)
Jutranjo replied to impuuuu's topic in Books
There's some news about a film/TV series/video game based on this! http://blog.patrickrothfuss.com/2015/10/hollywood-news/ http://variety.com/2015/film/news/kingkiller-chronicle-movie-tv-show-lionsgate-1201607468/ I really enjoyed reading these books. I don't read that much but the aura of vagueness and mystery really engaged me.- 31 replies

But it's also an IRC? Someone could make a bot that'll copy anything in one channel and put it in the other. PROGRESS. Does anyone know how big of a scam this is? https://discordapp.com/ I've seen it recommended by legit people but it looks nice and the website UI was great.

Sweet, I can have a 2nd IRC program open in addition to the 1st one, skype, steam and gmail because not everyone I talk to is on every service :\

I'm glad we grew up near a Tamagochi mine, they were almost free for any kid who came by when the shifts were ending.

Hearthstone: Because what Magic really needed was F2P mechanics
Jutranjo replied to Problem Machine's topic in Video Gaming
Yeah the big finisher legendaries and similar cards all share 1 thing: they do something the moment they're put down. Sylvanas is kinda an exception. Even Tharussian gives you the discount on the turn he's played. All legendaries that do nothing on the turn they're played like Troggzor, Foe Reaper 4000, Gruul, Sneeds are much worse and rarely played. -

You could do druid without legendaries but it has 4-6 required class epics minimum. Patron has very low requirements besides the adventures. But both of these are more combo decks. Zoo/face hunter need no legendaries but they're both aggro. Secret paladin might not need any? Rogue decks have 2 preparations (class epic) but otherwise cheap to craft cards since only oil rogue is played. Any control deck seems to need 3-4 legendaries. Oh nevermind, I forgot about Sylvanas. You can stick her in most decks besides zoo warlock, face hunter, patron and oil rogues. -
@Member: I'm looking forward to more posts! I'm wondering how the game being 2D but all your reference data being for actual 3D things will work out.

Idle Thumbs 229: Sneaking for Carl

I agree, do a warning with a spoiler siren for 5 seconds then rip into it. I thought you were going for a long form joke/gag when you said you weren't going to spoil anything AFTER clearly pointing out why no spoiler discussions are dumb. -

Yeah, I've been playing since early on, on and off. If you're starting out now you're pretty fucked without paying -

They're really not taking advantage of the fact that unlike normal TCGs, their digital CCG lets them nerf and buff cards. Why not just try to change some of the inspire minions to cost less or have better stats? They're not played at all. Ok, maybe not now but in a month or two? Since Naxx they've shown they don't plan on changing a single card after they release it. -

This is really interesting to read! I know a little about FEM and nothing at all about designing or programming in GameMaker or programming anything to work in real time. Have you thought about using a custom mesh for your FEM? It's probably a lot harder to implement than just using a grid but you could potentially save yourself the trouble of calculating cells in areas in the middle of balloons where there's nothing interesting, as well as take care of dumb behaviour appearing at tight corners. You could then scale how fine the mesh is too! For performance.

I know I read some stuff in pc gaming magazines around the time of UT/Quake 3 about WASD vs Arrow Keys. Lots of people were used to arrow keys from all the 2D sidescrollers I think.

I've seen the knuckle drumming happen but not at regular lectures. Yeah, applauding at the end of lectures wasn't common either. Students mostly know people from their study department, there's little contact between students of engineering and medicine. If you live in a student dorm you'll meet a lot of people outside of those, so that's great. There's no fraternities or similar, dorms have wild parties sometimes but those parties happen in 6-12 person apartments' kitchens, not some club house.

I used the jsawyer mod that makes stimpacks have weight and reduces everyone's HP and your carry weight. I ended up using 3 perks for carrying more stuff perks.
