They tend to run deals pretty regularly as far as I can tell. I don't have a Playstation, but my little bro gets a ton of stuff on top of the PS Plus games for cheap. A decent sized sale at least every couple of months.

I somehow didn't register this existing until a few days ago and holy fuck I'm excited for this. I never got to play those golden age isometric PC RPGs in their heyday and have had a lot of various troubles trying them in recent years. I guess I'll throw them my money when I get home tonight so I can get whatever those bonus items are, and also because I want Obsidian to have money of mine. HYPE!

Welp, went ahead and ordered the X55! So please don't tell me it sucks. I'll definitely report back if some of the common complaints I've seen are happening or annoying me.

I spent a lot of time playing smoking "reefer" and playing audiosurf in years past. Its probably the best weed game besides counterstrike and Dota. Exploration games are great too. A lot of games pair well with drugs now that I think about it...

Noticed my computer whirring a bit louder than normally last night. It seemed to even out back to normal after a few minutes of use though. My temps were normal but I'm gonna dust out my case tonight anyway. Concerned it might have been a fan (all stock from the case) or a hard drive (of which I have one).

I finally started watching Broad City and its pretty good! Consistently makes me laugh which is really what I want in a comedy. Abbi's "I didn't poop it!" in the episode where they went to fancy dinner for her birthday still cracks me up just thinking about it. Also, Hannibal Burress!

I've probably asked this before but I just got my tax refund so I'm gonna shell out for a HOTAS setup, do any of you have the X55? I really like the aesthetics of that over the X52 (those switches look fun as hell), but the 52 seems like it might have a better build quality? The price difference is pretty negligible for me.

I really wish the replay feature would give you an option to watch the whole thing from the top down. I like being able to see all the player movements and that kind of thing.

Ughhhh I've been wanting to see Duke of Burgundy for months but there is straight up no way for me to legally see it. Immensely frustrating. In less garbage news I'm going to see It Follows this weekend!

Drive is kind of an art house take on genre, but mostly it's a mood piece so any narrative issues didn't really bother me. The director Nicolas Winding Refn is actually name-dropped in the "Special Thanks" section of the Hotline Miami credits. It's all about the color palette, cinematography, and soundtrack. I've been watching Broad City and it's great. No clue why I've been sleeping on that.

I don't care much for Hanabi largely because I play board games to have fun times with buddies and it feels like there are too many things you can't say so you have to scold people pretty regularly for talking the wrong way. And eventually any groups I've played with comes up with their own metagame language to convey information. It felt very tedious. I do love that it can be entirely accurately described as "Mulitplayer Solitaire" in a way that isn't like "everyone plays their own game at the same time" but in that it's almost exactly the game of Solitaire. I got in a game of Tash Kalar yesterday and it went over great with the girlfriend. It's weirdly abstract and game-y, but the pattern matching puzzle element is a great hook for a casual nerd. I think having multiple objecitves to fight for at any given time really helped the game never really feel hopeless for either of us. And the flare cards are a great way to manage runaway board control, though neither of us were able to/did invoke them at any point.

Is there a way to buy 3ds eshop games on the Nintendo website or do I have to do it from my 3ds? It won't let me buy Ace Attorney unless I clear up some space first. What the heck Nintendo.

I got the new Dungeon Lords Anniversary Edition and the box insert is far and away the greatest thing I've ever seen in the world. Everything fits perfectly and in a thoughtful, organized way. Its so fucking good. Also got a copy of Tash Kalar and String Railway, both of which are comparatively lacking in the "good use of box space" department. Good thing I have a shit ton of various sized zip lock bags! All of these seem like winners to me, though I'm kind of concerned about not being able to get Dungeon Lords to the table as much as I'd like.

It was also shown in a demo a while back. I'm waiting on my album + phonecard game code to get here, also. Site said they'd ship them late march if you ordered after January 21st.

Yeah, I have the first game down to $2 right now and it's telling me that's as low as he'll go. I'm just confused and frightened.
