  1. I loved the Scene with Roger and Shirley, it was a combination of Roger's ignorance about why the lower level employees are unhappy about moving and that he isn't a terrible person. He lives in the rich person bubble and forgets that people that don't think like him exist. #OpressiveHallways I'm conflicted about what I want for Joan. Part of me just wants her to run off with Kevin and the developer guy (what is his name?). At the same time I want her to fight hard and bring McCann down a few pegs. Every time Diana comes up, I really hope its the last time, so heres hoping. I am pretty sure Don is heading for California to get rejected by Megan again, or to go to Anna Draper's old house. He went to Rachel's funeral, Betty has moved on and is maybe happy? I'm starting to get a sense that Don is regretting all his choices and all the lives he could have had. I felt like when he was sitting in the house in Wisconsin he was again thinking here is a life I could have had. There seems to be a theme of Don intruding on other people's lives and noticing their children: Rachel's kids, the girl on the stairs, Don making milkshakes and later missing Sally and the boys.
  2. Update: They mentioned the Firewatch - Mad Men - Campos Santos - Idle Thumbs connection in this weeks End of Mad Men episode a little bit.
  3. Things to look forward to?

I'm just hoping it brings back the exciting battles missing from Empire total war. Will probably pick it up on a steam sale.
  4. Things to look forward to?

I know Paradox is working on the next Hearts of Iron and there are more CK2 expansions in the pipeline. Relic is apparently part of Sega now.
  5. CK2 Succession Game

Here is the next save: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w5745hjdk1enyr1/Duke%20Gilbert%20of%20Provence.ck2?dl=0 Let me know if it doesn't work.
  6. CK2 Succession Game

Don't worry our Dynasty has terrible longevity so you will die before having the chance to ruin anything
  7. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

They are deleting all the history I learned in my childhood. This new Disney regime is pretty brutal.
  8. Steam of thoughts as I listen to the Podcast: The scenes with Betty and Glen were so gross! The whole time I was watching it I was wondering if the Glen had been using Sally to stay close to Betty. It looks like Don has reached peak not working at work, which is great, except that work is all he is. I am glad I don't see the "Next time on Mad Men" things anymore, they were so annoying and pointless. P.S. Rodger now has the Octopus painting in his office!!!!!!
  9. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

Maybe Han will be crushed by a moon.
  10. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

I was so confused, Chewie looked younger than in the original series. Didn't the Third prequel have a greying wookiee?
  11. Solution: sound boards for all hosts so everyone can be on all the shows.
  12. Its sort of exciting never knowing who will be hosting each week. I enjoy the range of perspectives.
  13. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

Its graphically the original, but i think it still has the engine changes.
  14. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

I just remember how excited I was by the Phantom Menace and Into Darkness trailers and it kills any excitement I have about this trailer. Also, never forget, never forgive: http://www.dailydot.com/geek/star-wars-expanded-universe-not-canon/
  15. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

I feel like preservation is key. My CDs for Grim Fandango are in really bad shape, they kept causing the game to lock up. The work around I was using was pretty ridiculous. I copied the CDs over to fresh ones, which ended up with different errors. I was saving a lot and swapping between original and burned CDs to get through the game.
  16. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

He does always seem out of breath and uncomfortable, maybe he is allergic to lense flare
  17. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

I have seen a lot of complaints about the Homeworld Remastered AI being not as good as the original game. I don't have an original copy any more to do the comparison.
  18. Warcraft 3 and WoW also did some serious retconinng to make sense of the first two games.
  19. Isn't that only two people though? Someone should figure out the equation where X=number of Idle Thumbs Hosts Z=minutes in the podcast and Y= % chance any minute will have a topic change
  20. the Talos Principle

I know what you mean, there was something about the puzzles I found really off putting. I got the feeling that there was one, precise way to solve the puzzles and if you are a little off in timing or placement of objects you lose. I find this level of finickyness really annoying. I also didn't understand what the non-linear design added to the game, the in between spaces felt like clutter to me.
  21. They haven't mentioned firewatch on the Mad Men podcast yet, not sure if they will. The Mad Men cast is pretty much just about the show, its amazing to have them stay on the same topic for ~40 minutes
  22. The conservatism of Megan's family is classic catholic, not European specifically. (French Canadians have a complex relationship with their European heritage, many feel that they were abandoned to the British and got little support of their attempts at independence.) I agree this episode had lots of moments that felt like filler considering how little time is left in the show. Maybe things will matter later, but so far there seems like no real storyline to this half-season, each episode so far has felt self contained. This could also change, but again we are running out of time. I am worried that they will spend the whole rest of the season giving each minor character enough screen time to tie off their life and as a result make the final episodes very scattered.
  23. Games giveaway

I would love to give Magicka a try before #2 comes out
  24. The Neverhood is actually an interesting Lore example. You have to collect all the disks to receive an item after watching the video they contain. and then there is the library wall. (I tried reading it all once, not recommended.)
