  1. XCOM Enemy Unknown

That end game rocket launcher is insane, I missed unlocking in my first playthrough, but i love watching that little plasma ball fly.
  2. I think part of the problem with finding a post othering story is Star Trek and a lot of sci fi seek to address contemporary issues, and since we are really good at being, racist, sexist, nationalist, bigoted etc many authors/writers feel the need to address it.
  3. XCOM Enemy Unknown

Heavies are great for pulling your squad out of bad situations. I would avoid using rockets because they destroy materials, but if things start going badly BLOW EVERYTHING UP!
  4. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

i might keep my gamepad plugged in to use for their stupid menus then switch to keyboard for fighting exploration etc I've only played for about 45 minutes but so far the game looks and feels good. I am a big fan of being able to loot containers without opening a menu.
  5. XCOM Enemy Unknown

I found them super useful, and near the end of the game they become peerless killing machines. Two of my snipers cleared out the entire EXAULT base. I usually keep them a little behind the squad or up on a roof to provide overwatch support for the squad.
  6. But once the wars were over the Federation was perfectly happy to work with them. After TOS the Klingons became allies. Similar with the Romulans during the dominion wars. The Cardassians are no longer the enemy at the end of DS9. TNG and DS9 had several episodes i can remember talking about the difference between being enemies of the Romulan, Klingon or Cardassian government and being an enemy of each and every individual member of a species. The Undiscovered Country also dealt with this as well. The Borg are in some ways are even more culturally inclusive than the Federation, so I'm not sure someone can really other them in the same way. I do remember one species that 7 of 9 said the borg considered unworthy of assimilation. That was cold.
  7. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

    or at least new bugs?
  8. It looks like they are making a prettier, hopefully less buggy game. I am super pumped as I love M&B: Warband. If they can improve the questing system and managing relationships with other lords I will be happy. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/08/12/mount-blade-2-bannerlord/
  9. Chivalry Medieval Warfare comes to mind, haven't played it.
  10. All the pop music in that movie felt really ham fisted.
  11. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

    Preload on steam is available.
  12. I hope its not the banter, people like lame one liner after lame one liner? There are plenty of 80s action movies I like watching that I would call fun, but I know are bad movies. Commando for example.
  13. I think they are considered "fun" which usually just means a bad movie with well made action sequences and CGI.
  14. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

Yeah i hope its just a extension/expansion on that plot from 3. With more shades of grey.
  15. Supreme Commander had some information warfare aspects. Radar, sonar, stealth and false radar signatures were all part of the game. I used to try and play games with the Dreamcast fishing controller. The reel mapped to accelerate for San Francisco Rush 2049 so I could only ever hit about 30 mph reeling as fast as i could.
  16. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

LAUNCH TRAILER! GET HYPE! Contains some story hints.
  17. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.falloutcompanionapp&hl=en incase anyone wants the app link. You can play the missile command game on the app.
  18. Its not a classic limited weapon horror game, but subnautica does have a lot of creatures that you cannot really kill with your weak weapons. You can push them away or freeze them temporarily, but you are at the mercy of large predators in a big deep dark ocean. The game does a great job of making you feel powerless and vulnerable. I wish I had a VR headset to make it even scarier.
  19. you are correct, i forgot he existed.
  20. Yeah the only part that really holds up in Chris Rocks character being so weird.
  21. Have you seen the Metropolis anime version that came out in 2001? I haven't seen the original but I wonder how they compare.
  22. differentiating cultural touchstones and classics is difficult. The Indiana Jones films are a great example of this as well. Good film but not what I would consider a classic, but they are constantly referenced across all sorts of media.
  23. The Big VR Thread

Does the vive require space, or just require it for that camera feature?
