  1. Enjoyed the summary. I've been umming and ahhing about getting it, and I think you pushed me over the edge. Once I'm done with Bloodborne though.
  2. Using other peoples dungeons fixed my issue. I'm happy now. Bloodborne is rad.
  3. Maybe it's just chance...I'm rolling in basically all the mats except for the requisite ritual blood. It just never drops for me which is really frustrating.
  4. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

    * I'm also expecting some sort of variation of "Don't get cocky, kid."
  5. Am I doing something wrong with the chalice dungeons? I rarely ever get enough mats for the next one so I inevitably have to make a new one. Can you just...reset one you've already run rather than creating an entirely new dungeon?
  6. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

    That's no moon...
  7. Yeah I didn't know either, but it's a pretty easy fight, without them it'd be trivial.
  8. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

    Wait...What? How does that work?
  9. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

So...Firestone is freaking rare. I can't seem to mine it anywhere in the volcano area despite going through there around 10 times. My palico found one! Never me though.
  10. You can totally ignore them. Try turning left!
  11. The parries disappoint me in one small way, I wish they had different animations for each weapon rather than the same for all (I.e. The weapon completely disappears).
  12. I'm in Ng+ and I'm still using the blunderbuss. I think it has a slightly more forgiving parry timing than the pistol. Are you finding you're doing it too early or too late? I initially found I was waiting too long and just getting hit, so to fix that I just shot as soon as I saw the opponent move, which was too early, but at least I wasn't getting hit! Since bullets are effectively unlimited (it takes ten minutes or so to farm up enough souls for a ton of bullets) you can just practice a lot on different enemies, and you'll figure out the timing...which is basically what I did, and now I find it pretty easy to pull off viscerals. I don't think they're necessary to actually do gun parries though. It just makes things a lot easier if you can.
  13. I Had A Random Thought...

I have only used a Mac once in my life. It was pretty nice but it was at teh time when a lot of software was hard to come by (also I was young and stupid so couldn't figure it out). My windows laptop died recently after 3 years of heavy use. I really need a new computer so I don't have to keep going into work to do...work (outside of usual hours), but I'm leaving this job soon, and I'm sure I can get a laptop from a new employer. Just seriously sucks to be without a home computer. Trying to use a tablet for stuff isn't as good. I can write on it pretty effectively, but trying to use the PowerPoint thing is real shitty. Oh an you can forget anything to do with spreadsheets or making graph figures.

Lol. That made me snort my coffee. Maybe cheesey is the wrong word, and stupid is a better one. Trying to think of a word other than "lame" as that's the only one that comes to mind. I'm excited for a new characters and new things in an old setting. I don't need old characters in there because that's part of what made the prequels suck. They had to shoe horn old stuff in constantly rather than just being their own thing. An old ass Han isn't fun. What's he gonna do, complain about kids these days and the price of power converters? I just don't want them to ruin Han like they ruined Indy.
  15. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

I actually platinumed it recently. I quite enjoyed it, it involved a lot of sight seeing. I still don't know how I feel about DA:I. While playing, I felt like I was enjoying it, but when I stopped all the things that were wrong flooded into my head and I immediately thought "man that was kind of bad, the side quests really sucked and the combat was real shitty." The thing is, I didn't really mind while I was playing. The world was big enough and interesting enough to keep me engaged. It was a decent game but I won't ever go back to it and I probably won't touch the DLC.
  16. We can remaster him. We have the technology.

I was just about to suggest Zero mission. I really loved that game, it grabbed me hard, and the stealth section was very well implemented. I can't get through the original metroid. The way it looks and plays just put me off. I got used to the Super Metroid style of game play and it's really hard to play a 2d metroid in any other way now.
  17. On the doll I have so many ideas and questions, but I don't want to dump them all immediately or nothing will ever be resolved in my head.
  18. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

Fuck, I'm going to be a completely negative nancy now, but that trailer started off so well. I was smiling like a child right up until I saw Harrison Ford and my stomach just dropped. That part was just cheesey.
  19. Yeah it's personal preference of course, I just found it tedious to dispatch the adds. However it'd be a stupidly easy boss without them. I have issues with bosses that I can't get back in and fight with immediately. It doesn't matter if it's an unskippable cut scene or a bunch of adds I have to slowly kill. It drives me nuts.
  20. I'm talking about a purely game play perspective. Rom is an interesting fight when it comes to narrative. Although he's not alone in being the only boss who isn't hostile immediately Although, with the blue guys, it made zero sense to me. I probably missed something, but have literally no clue what those guys have to do with anything. Seems so out of place in a story about people turning into beasts and old gods giving power through blood.
