I like the sound of Destiny, but it's not interesting enough for me to buy a PS4. Which brings me to another issue with this "type" of game. The online coop seems to be ingrained in it. If I pick up Destiny months after the release, I bet no one will still be playing. I feel like that with Titanfall. I'm glad I got to play at the start, and feel like I got my money's worth but the game is a bit shit now. Long matchmaking queues and people who trash me because I've not played it every day since release. I worry Destiny will be like that too.

Urgh! I just think you two have identified why I loathe Lords Managements and Diablo. Can't stand clicking all the time, and the weird laggy feeling you get from clicking in one place and moving there a few seconds later. That makes me feel good! I've been wondering why I could never get into those kinda games when on paper they look like everything I'd ever wanted.

I do love the Valkyria Chronicles style of play, but The setting seems odd. Who are the bad guys going to be? Confederacy? British? Communists? Robot hitler?

Oh I will! Side note: I work in science, so I guess that C&H cartoon doesn't work for me. I spent plenty of time doing boring stuff.

Way too dangerous. I've done it once and now I avoid it like the plague. Lucky I don't really have a reason to go that way. I'm pretty sure motorists in every country are dicks towards cyclists. There was a little scandal in the UK where a woman knocked a cyclist off their bike and tweeted boasting about it. She went on national TV crying and apologising. It was great.

I don't think I agree with your assessment that playing on anything other than iron man just means people will just reload to clear levels. It assumes every player will do that, and I certainly didn't. I think I reloaded once during my first Xcom attempt (which is lost now unfortunately) and that was because I made a dumb mistake that I couldn't recover from. Your statement just sounds elitist: assuming that everyone is a baby and will quit if something goes wrong. Ironman is great, don't get me wrong, but there's a certain beauty in restraint and telling yourself you're not going to reload, yet having the option there in case you need it. It also allows you to learn from mistakes quickly, rather than losing a 6 hour campaign, and having to start all over which I think is important for new players, especially those new to strategy in general.

I assume you mean star not coin. And damn! I've not been worrying about the stamps thinking they were superfluous to the unlocking of things. I'll have to go back and grab them stamps then.

I'm so sad the Pokemon trainer is being replaced by Charizard. That was the best (read I love Pokemon even though the character sucked in game) character they've come up with. It was just balanced really badly. Excited to see Chrom from FE:A is in there. Makes me wanna try that game on hard - which is literally impossible.

How the online community doing in DS2? Steam sale coming up I'm going to grab it as soon as there's even a hint of a price drop, but don't want to go into a barren internet land thing.

Wow I find that a kinda dumb choice. I'm going to say I've finished it when I do all the main levels and have all he stars and flag poles. Finishing it 4 times is ridiculous. Is it not just sprinting through the levels with all four characters? That sounds doable but boring.

I think ETS is the only game that has a cover which stood out from the rest. It was like generic game after generic game. Dragon Age Origins is pretty fun, but I'm not paying £5 for a game I played >50 hours of on my PS3.

I just looked at the origin sale. BORING.

My only "issue" since it's not really an issue, is that no where in the game does it tell you what is weak to what. The first( ?) boss tank thing I found SO hard to kill, then turn the corner and there's 2 of the fuckers at the same time! Made me realise it must have a weakness of some sort, but the game doesn't tell you shit. Really can't wait to dig deeper into TW101.

Finally, been waiting for the steam sale for a while. My back log is going to double (I've been doing well at clearing it!)

If you're not in the US (it's says Spain), it might be worth checking out the wonderful 101 as your free game. It's a tough game to get into mechanically, but it's hella fun. Massive cult following too. It's what I got! I do like platinum though.

Gamepad works great. My partner who never plays games has been hogging my procontroller for MK8 so I've not had a chance to use it. She seems to love it though.
