Yep, that's the first order trailer that looked interesting. I don't think I'll pre-order it, but I'll get it when the physical release drops in price. Or at least wait for the reviews to come out. The problem with digital games on consoles (or at least PSN) is that the prices don't drop in line with physical copies. Infamous: Second Son is still £50 on the store, whilst it's around £30 for the physical edition. I got my PS4 for christmas/birthday. To be honest I'm not that amazed with it, and the Share button is an irritant. Has anyone used it? I accidentally press it because my brain has still wired it to the select button. Still, bloodborne will be awesome when it comes out.

A quick google indicates viewing figures between 1-2 million. I have no basis for how good that is, but it seems in line with Adventure Time's viewing figures. Maybe it's more to do with sales of other things? I have no idea. Do they still use Nielson boxes in the US? Seems like such an outdated system.

Sounds like more of a promotion than anything. I would be surprised if there was a huge difference in the core fighting mechanics between tekken 6 and 7. I highly doubt that there'll be anyone choosing any new characters, and from the sounds of things, 7 has been out in the Japanese arcades for a while now, so it's probable that the super hardcore have imported the machines. I'm really surprised about MKX though, especially as I get the feeling it isn't a super tight fighting game like the rest on that list, just a huge promotion. And no love for Skullgirls? That's upsetting.

There was discussion of club nintendo over on the business side of video games thread. I personally will miss Club Nintendo, as it wasn't something that other games companies did, and it felt unique and I liked that. I didn't know it wasn't synonymous over Europe though, that sucks. I did get a couple of free games from club nintendo, plus some cool nintendo tat.

That's cool. For me my main point of contention for the anime was the sudden and kinda insane world lore they threw on at the end, which I didn't quite believe, as well as the death sequences, which felt out of place and unnecessary. as well as hard to watch. From my understanding, they were from the game, which is why they looked so different. Also the ending felt rushed somewhat. I do really want to play the game though, regardless, and I hear the 2nd one is good too.

So continuing the JoJo OP debacle, was it me, or did the OP sound different this week? Like it was less muted, with more guitar and what have you? I still maintain that the 'ora's at the end of the song is the worst, as it feels really tacky. Whist the previous OP's had clever references to their JoJo arc (Coda's bloody stream is fucking incredible), the ORA just felt too forced and obvious? I personally find redline to be one of my favourite anime movies. I don't think it's meta at all. twmac, watch redline gosh darn it! I really enjoyed this show too. Also what's great is that Yatterman originally aired in 1977, so the audience who originally watched it when it was aired must be like 30 now, so it fits the target audience too? I didn't get the impression that the yattermans were evil, just very protective about making sure the villians who destroyed their city doesn't get allowed back in. It's fairly obvious I think that this is going to be a major plot point. I'd be surprised if they are actually evil. Uh you'll probably be disappointed. All the episodes are completely different from each other, and whilst I loved it, it certainly has no overarching plot until the last few episodes. If that doesn't bother you, it's great, and is like South Park in how every episode is completely inconsequential from the next. There are also some episodes that are better than others, and I felt that season 2 was generally better than 1? Idk, I think you might not like it.

My work had a 'company review' over the last month, and now 4 people have been made redundant in less than a week, and people who have worked there for over 8 years are either gone or had their posts removed and they have to apply for the new roles, which they might not even get. We are a very small company of about 20 people too, so we have effectively lost 1/3 of our work colleagues. There was no ceremony when they left either, just a sudden absence of people. All that means is that the workload is increased and the people who are gone have left their roles with all their knowledge and none of it emparted on us. This week is going to be grim, to say the least

Monhun isn't an exclusive title, it just does things like load faster. They have announced that there are going to be exclusive New 3DS titles, Xenoblade being one of them. If you haven't bought the system yet, I'd reccomend to get a new 3DS XL.

They did release 6(?) GBA games if you were a 3DS ambassador, specifically for ambassadors, which they said would never be released on the 3DS. If you played them, it's pretty clear to see that it shut off all other functionality apart from the GBA. If I recall correctly, it closed everything when you hit the home button. Twig mentioned on IRC that it used the DS something then something i can't remember. If I were a betting man, I'd put a lot of money on them putting in GBA games on the store specifically for the New 3DS. In the new 3DS, they also moved the cartridge slot and the stylus.

The system transfer is weird. Transferring will mean that yes, your game will be deleted, but it's tied to your Nintendo ID, so you can just redownload it from the store.

I've preordered this game twice, once in the awesome new 3DS special edition, that comes with the skull kid figurine, and again for the equally awesome skull kid badge and poster CE. I don't think I'm going to regret this.
