Bloodborne (Dark Souls 2 successor (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)))
N1njaSquirrel replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
I have been exclusively using the axe throughout my play through. And almost exclusively in 2-handed mode. I find that it's fast, and the L2 attack has excellent range, which is a 180 degree sweep, and pretty much always stuns, along with the standard R1 attack. Also learn the timings of the charged up R2 attack, as it stuns/knocks back pretty much every enemy, and is devastating. Finally, my general beginner's tip is to break out of the habit of rolling backwards, instead to dash forwards and to the left/right. It usually gives you more than enough time to get a good combo going, and if you manage to land a charged R2 (1-handed) hit on the enemy's back , it leaves him open for a visceral attack, which is practically an insta-kill at that point. I am on the 3rd chalice level, and I can confirm there's some minor changes, and there were a few cool traps, but nothing worth it's salt. They don't get better. My main problem with dungeons is that they feel so separate from the main game, and then on top of that, they're just really boring to play. There is no variation on what to do, or how to do it. Find the lever, kill boss, rinse and repeat until end. Also, it might be my bad luck, but bosses are now being repeated for me. It feels like a dungeon-crawler that is not like the rest of the series. I feel it doesn't fit in with the rest of the game. I had the same thing. In the end I just bought the required amount from the shopkeeps. I'm pretty sure you can use insight to get them too. -

This month, apparently. Also guys, if you're finding the bosses too hard, just leave the game on idle for 12 hours. Honestly, how do people find these things out? -

Agreed, the dungeons are boring, but some of the bosses are really cool down there. You're probably aware of this, but my colleague wasn't, so it might be worth noting to -

I dunno if mine counted as an 'actual mic', as it was a headphone mic. -
I don't understand why she'd even initiate the date in the first place if she knew she was moving. All feels rather pointless on both ends :/ I haven't, actually. I also haven't been able to talk to him since I first posted this problem, but that's just because I haven't had a lot of time on the ps4 as of late. Hopefully I'll be able to catch him online tonight and I'll see.

I really liked Rom. He was suitably creepy at first, and then becomes amusing when he flails around. Also it was the only boss fight (so far) where you initiate the battle, which is interesting, I think. I also really liked The One Reborn, as it was both disgusting and was an interesting fight. -

I was going to say the same thing. Spaff should be a regular. -
That reminds me to shamelessly link my girlfriends comic, called This is a Terrible comic, The Tales of Moisture Man: Sorry if you've already seen this.

We can remaster him. We have the technology.

I don't know whether this counts, but the arcade version of Half Life 2 is a weird thing. Namely because the trusted K+M has been replaced with the weirdest cockpit configuration ever: Does it play better? Hell no. But it does make it more enjoyable.- 25 replies

Oh man that blows Is Team Bondi still around? Or did they close after L.A. Noire? -
Thanks for all the comments guys! I shall lend a sympathetic ear, and I'll try and see if there's anyone close to him that he can talk to. It sounds like he's living in a decent household, but whether he's spoken to his parents about it, I don't know. I'll also tell him about these forums. I did consider phoning the school Merus, but I worry that that might be crossing a line. I think he's mentioned his school a couple of times too, so I could probably find it pretty easily. I also wonder how much attention a school would give regarding anonymous phone calls, and whether it'll just come out as creepy. As for me, I personally didn't think my bullying helped at all. It certainly didn't make me feel stronger, but it did make me like the things I still like today (namely comedy and video games). I specifically remember finding Monty Python in those years, which helped a lot. I also feel that school bullying is a lot different than GG. Namely that school bullying has no rhyme or reason as to why they're being picked on. For me it was because I had a mole, and that my surname rhymed with 'gay'. Hilarious. The bullies for GG believe in some misguided cause. Which is much worse.

I also did this! I'm terribly sorry! I guess we should have a phone only rule then? -
So help me out here guys. About 2-3 weeks ago, some random guy added me on PSN. I didn't think much of it until he invited me to a chat party, where it became very apparent he wasn't from the IT forums. Turns out he was a 14 year old kid from the South of London. Which was weird, but also hilarious as he's so naive about everything. What wasn't so hilarious is that it's pretty apparent from talking to him that he's being bullied at school. He even said to me 'I don't have any friends at school apart from x, so all I have is you guys on the internet'. So here's the crux of the matter: Should I do anything about this bullying? Is there anything I can do, or should I just be a sympathetic ear to this kid? I've also been subject to a fair amount of bullying in my life, so I know how crappy it can be, and would like to help if I can. I am also very aware that I'm 11 years his senior, and anything I try to do might come off as me being anything but a concerned friend.

Do you get it for finishing her questline? Also, The bone ash armour is my personal favourite. Especially the mask: -

I am in the exact same place Bjorn! I did those things too! I agree, the upper cathedral ward was really infuriating. I also finished Cainhurst, which was a super neat area. The boss fight was super tense as I had run out of blood vials, so the finishing blows were crazy tense. So where/who is this crow lady? I really hope I haven't missed her! I assumed I just haven't met her yet, but if Bjorn is doing her stuff, it means I must have missed something. -
Not really a bug per-say, but when you open a DM that's more than one page long on the mobile site, it starts at the first page, instead of the last/where you read up to.

Don't be fooled. Whilst it doesn't fetishise the guns, it does fetishise the fuck out of the girls. -

what are the 2 dungeon achivements? I completely agree, they are tedious. And whilst at first they sound like a neat idea, when you've seen the basic rooms 5 or 6 times, it gets a tad weary. (Although saying that, the last dungeon level I was in had a huge open area that I'd never seen before which was pretty nifty) -

Ok sweet. I haven't found any umbilical chords yet. I could be completely wrong about 4 endings. As for Chalice dungeon reagents, I have found most of them in higher level dungeons. I hope that helps. -

N1njaSquirrel replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
So I'm pretty certain I'm getting to the end of the game. I only have one area left to explore. I also know there's multiple endings and stuff. Would someone mind telling me in a non-spoilery way how to get the best ending? Or when I should back up my save so I can see all 4 endings? -
I would also be. Right now I'm pretty busy, and I want to finish Bloodborne real bad before anything else. But I'm pretty close to finishing bloodborne. Maybe this weekend? Don't worry about your gear and stuff. It's more important to have fun!

The main difference between KanColle and Upotte is that the artist for KanColle is a well-known eroge artist, so it's little wonder that they're all so skimpy. I guess my lack of interest in Upotte also comes from my lack of gun knowledge. Probably because I'm British, where there's no firearms? I don't know. I don't think it's that either TBH, as Japan also has a no guns policy. I guess you might also really like Hetalia? On a random side-note, Shimakaze was the 2nd most bought cosplay in Japan, so I guess they're doing something right?
