  1. That sounds really interesting neorev, what kind of physical format are we looking at?

I know there are filter holders like this that many people use that hold square filters over the lens, I use one for a set of cheap ND filters

  3. Starting a new job on Jan 2nd (with the same company, but different group), first new job in 10 years. Scared and excited, and nervous!

I feel like an impostor, hopefully I can fake it until I make it.

  4. Going through this, I may need to look into that bug. The DLC for this game seems wild, I picked up some legendary gear which is really kind of...game breaking early on hah,

I got home tonight to find some packages in the lobby! @YoThatLimp sent me some delicious bar cookies called ginger crunches (although some seem to have vanished since the photo was taken, so they're clearly defective). There was also a reverse spherification kit, which I'm looking forward to trying out next week during my vacation time! I'll make sure to post photos of the final product :)

Thank you so much for the awesome gift. Also, some more of the ginger crunches disappeared since the last paragraph for some reason.

Looking forward to checking out what you make, I've done some raspberry and kiwi fruit ravioli and they've turned out interesting! Glad you liked the ginger crunch!

I received a sweet pour over coffee maker and a mug that looks like a Canon 24-70mm lens, totally awesome.

Thanks Sean (not sure of you username)!

Rooting for you, Gormongous. I hope things'll go better soon!

Ditto, I know it's cheesy but time takes the sting out of all wounds.

    Keep your head up!

I may just have opposite taste from you (especially if you loved the first season) but, as I'm sure everyone's told you, the mythology ends up being a total nonsensical dead-end, and I think the only reason X-Files is still remembered fondly is Duchovney and Anderson's incredible chemistry and all those monster of the week episodes. If it makes you feel better, the general upswing in quality all around in Season 3 is remarkable and you'll get a lot more nuance, character, bold art direction, humor and meaning out of those kinds of one-off episodes through season 5.

I am sorry that an episode about a group of Satanic teachers did nothing to you. For some of that early stuff you gotta put your brain in 90's mode, when people were still afraid of the occult and there was still a slight transgressive edge to the blunt way The X-Files depicted it. Same with a lot of the violence.

Yeah, my wife and I watched X-Files last year and man, the mythology never has a proper conclusion it's kind of a bummer.

I think the series is still worth watching, and I'm glad I did it, but a bit of a bummer.

The Witcher 3 is superb, but it's very different from Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The protagonist is kind of a loner and doesn't travel with a party of fellow adventurers that banter back and forth. While it lacks most of that sense of camaraderie that develops over the course of a typical Bioware RPG, what it does have is the most well-realized open world I've seen in a video game.

I tend to hate open world games, and came to loathe the open world aspects of DA: Inquisition, but I genuinely enjoy all the time I spend in The Witcher 3's world doing side-quests and such. They're written with so much more care than I'm accustomed to in this kind of game and that makes all the difference for me. The game also supports playing with Polish voice acting and English menus and subtitles, which I prefer since I found the protagonist's English voice grating.

I think they get around not having companions in Witcher 3 with having a bunch of interesting characters in the game, i think its the best choice so far!

So this came up in my feed and, well, as much as I related to it. I couldn't help but feel that it was a little selfish. That said, the points about Saudi Arabia and Qatar were well made, I am just worried that Trump is no better.

I have a couple of other friends in the same boat, because Trump is such an isolationist - they are happy because they expect it to mean that he will be too busy closing borders to bother fucking up the middle east as much as the previous Presidents. Something that they saw Clinton as intent on doing.

The checks and balances in America and our rich history of social justice and civil rights will never allow the fear-mongering that has been attached to candidate Trump’s rhetoric to come to fruition.

    Hm, that is very optimistic.
