Ended up getting Talos Principal and Unity of Command as well.Naturally, I've spent the last 4 days playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown for the first time (which I got in a Steam sale like 2 years ago).

Maybe it's just that it's tonally all over the place, since, in regards to EA CEO Andrew "Shadowrun Villain" Wilson, here opens with: Like, sick burn I guess? Is this a lament of crushing professionalism and homogeneous faces, or is it article number 10,534 about "lol, look at these dumpy nerds".

I'm struggling to develop an appreciation for the value people place in fashion and aesthetics, of not an appreciation for fashion and aesthetics themselves, but fashion snark will only ever read as pointless, superficial and mean spirited. Especially when it's just shooting fish in a barrel like this. What's the follow up, the people of Walmart?

I would argue that MGS1 is the tightest and most playable (as a top down stealth action game) while MGS3 is the worst since they hadn't figured out the third person camera very well yet. Tho, I also hold the unpopular opinion that Twin Snakes is a down grade of MGS1 in all but graphics (fight me).

Considering Myers and Walker both worked at Paste, he'd have a pretty good in. In other news:

As someone who wanted to love but bounced off of EU3, what should I get to enjoy EU4? I understand that the original release was kind of anemic and that it's been made a lot more complete in subsequent expansions. But there's also a TON of extra fluff and specialized stuff for experts that I think I'd want to wait until I've got a handle on the game to dive into.

There's a thing people do on Twitter that drives me up the wall: side tweeting other peoples work in a positive way without linking to the original. Even taking screenshots of pertinent paragraphs. I noticed Nick Capozzi doing it this morning regarding this article by Mammon Machine (the link to the original post seems to be broken), but he's in no way unique in this practice. I'm all "this article sounds interesting, and I'd like to follow that hyperlink, but I can't". So I have to google it, but I have to type a chunk of the article out by hand with quotes around it to find it (since you can't copy text out of a jpg). Just give me a link!!!! I feel like some terrible hybrid of an entitled punk kid who doesn't know how good he has it and an old man yelling at a cloud.

The control scheme for Transistor was awful until I realized you could play it like it was Dota, and all of a sudden it made sense.

He's had to come down on people trying to monetize Dickbutt, or trying to imply that it is free to use.

A ton of my hats are missing. Game is literally unplayable. That Demo map is cool as hell though.

I fully expect the big game changing revelation of Quiet to be 100x's worse than anyone expects: I plan on being critical of media I otherwise enjoy. Les Enfant Terrible is a callback to MGS1:

Got Depths of Tolagar, Chivalry and I flipped a coin to choose between Invisible Inc. and MASSIVE CHALICE. Don't think there's much else I want.
