I have made a poor financial decision and have an X52 pro on the way. I will hopefully be on more.

I really enjoyed Blitz-ball in FF10.

Official Giant Bomb Thread Mostly for Complaining About Dan
Dewar replied to tegan's topic in Idle Banter
That hit on a tender spot for me, though rather than "everything is great" I tend to go "that stuff doesn't matter" and shove it out of life so I don't stress about it. It's a really insightful thought.- 1367 replies

I was thinking maybe 4 people maybe? Enough to make it interesting but not too much so it bogs down.

Amazon just has an online drive which I copy files to. It's not a full on back-up tool. I just routinely grab all my paid-for music, save files, pictures, etc and throw them up there. Tested.com did reviews of a couple of different full backup subscriptions, though I don't recall which one they ended up liking the most.

Well, if it was scratching the itch, there's always Long War http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom/mods/88/?

That reminds me I need to get my Amazon Cloud stuff fixed and take another backup. I have a RAID on my device but it never hurts to be careful.

Enemy Within adds some cool stuff but, at its core, it's still pretty much the same game. Depending on how you're feeling about that, you might want to take a short break.

I completed Hack'n'Slash! There's a core of a good idea there, but man they make you work hard to get to it. The art is... meh, there's a platforming element but it's not super clear where your hitbox is, and the dialog is annoying. The bad part though, is how much effort they go to in order obfuscate the programming. I mean, I've programmed in a few different languages, but they use colored gems for some variables some of which look kinda the same on the background color, and they don't tell you what a majority of the functions actually do which makes it really easy to crash the game and have to revert to a save. The idea excited me, but I guess it just wasn't technical enough for me, but is probably too technical for the majority of players.

Rowing machine has arrived, it is much larger than expected.

A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes

Weren't most of the characters kinda underplayed by that point? That's such a bizarre thing to say in the first season of any TV show. -
I can say that I'm really happy with the amount of content I got for my money with the Shadow of Mordor season pass. I think WB have shown they're willing to bankroll some pretty serious content after release.

Idle Thumbs 208: Buds are Out, Keys are In
Dewar replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
It seems to me that the smartest thing to do with the paid mod stuff would be to release it with a brand new game when you aren't undermining an already present community. If it were advertised ahead of time that the next Elder Scrolls game (if there even are anymore) would have paid mods, people could organize around that fact and it could be really cool. -
Careful, depending on what the mini is made of, that can dissolve some kinds of plastic.
-
Well, if you ask me these sorts of trials should be held in another state anyway.

I really enjoyed the "and the journey continues" feel. Comparing it with seeing Star Trek VI when I was younger (which ended with a pretty definite end to the point of having signatures of all the stars in the credits) I think they both have their pluses in minuses, but I like it the TNG way. Of course, I'm also the same person who hasn't watched the final episode of Boston Legal after all of these years because I can still imagine it keeps going if I don't see the end -
Hmm, I logged in and somehow my 50 tonnes of cargo for the very first community goal netted me top 3 contribution for 750k credits. I doubt that's right, but I'm not complaining. Remind me, how do i see what community goals and system control changes are in process in game? Or do I have to check the forums for that?

Wow, I don't know how I missed ticket sales. Well that's one less thing to worry about and if people are that concerned I guess I'll let them have at it.

I recently watched the Yogscast videos for Endless Legend and it made me realize that there's actually some interesting depth there, just that the AI sucks, which makes me want to try it out in Multiplayer.

It feels like the best strategy games just kinda come out without much fanfaire. I guess, depending on what you mean by Strategy, Massive Chalice leaves early access shortly. Shadowrun Online (now Shadowrun Chronicles) just came out. Shadowrun Returns: Hong Kong passed it's Kickstarter.

Hmm, I wonder if I can get tickets this year. I'm not sure if I'm up for camping a website for another set of tickets.

I think it's human nature at some point, some people just deal with it better. I end up in this corner myself quite a bit, but I'm also the right bit of paranoid that I tend to build extra time into my deadlines so I end up with a little breathing room if things go wrong. The downside of that is that sometimes I build extra time on top of extra time and do things like arriving for a dinner meeting 2 hours early, but better early than late I guess.

I wouldn't expect DS9 to ever get a remaster. That being said, it doesn't look horrible.
