  1. Baby Animal Gif Emergency Rations

All the YouTube parodies of that video and I can't find one that's the same video with the frog swearing like a sailor instead of squeaking.
  2. PAX Prime 2014

I ended up getting two passes for Friday and Sunday when they put a few more tickets on sale. If you're in the area, or at the Giant Bomb meet perhaps, it turns out I only need one of the Friday passes and I'd be happy to sell you the other at cost ($40)
  3. DOTA 2

The only reason I know those things is I played a lot of season mode in Madden and NCAA Football.
  4. Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarter)

To clarify, it was 85 pounds for the game and all future expansions forever. If you've bought the game for 40 pounds, you can now (at least for a little while) buy the lifetime expansion pass for 130 pounds, making the total price for game and pass 170 pounds for post-Kickstarter users. So it's 85 vs 170 I bought just the next expansion for 30 pounds, on top of the 20 pounds for the early bird price on the Kickstarter. The price to get that now is 40 pounds for the game, and 40 pounds for the expansion, so that's 50 vs 80. All I can say is that there was considerable risk putting the money in on the Kickstarter, as they were advertising a lot of crazy difficult things. When I initially pledged, I gave it a less than 50% chance of finishing and being at least decent, so I took the risk because I could get it so cheap. If it had been 40 pounds, I most likely wouldn't have bothered.
  5. Shadowrun Returns

Anybody who's interested in the Hare-Brained Shadowrun games and hasn't tried them before should check the multiplayer forum.
  6. Games giveaway

I backed at a pretty high level for Shadowrun: Hong Kong, and it comes with a set of keys for the whole series, so I have a key for Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong to give away. I'll go with ElMuerte on my criteria. 50 registered posts 6 months registration
  7. DOTA 2

I mean that's exactly how most people view American Football right?
  8. I just got trough the mission briefing for act 5 and... Regarding Naomi Hopefully, I'll finish the GB streams today.
  9. Living in Seattle, Amazon's reputation has gone quickly from dream workplace to absolute hell in the last 5 years or so.
  10. Recently completed video games

Ah, on iOS, that stuff was in a different app, so it's a lot more likely that people just missed it.
  11. DOTA 2

There's always the all random match type in the beta client if you're wanting to get out of your comfort zone. At least then everyone's in the same boat.
  12. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I didn't care for it either, and then it started constantly crashing on my iPad so I just left it behind.
  13. Shields are for wimps. Edit: By which I mean, try a dex heavy build with dodging instead of parrying? I had a lot of fun with it, using spells as an occasional backup.
  14. Recently completed video games

Oh, I don't know how that works then. Looking at the website, it seems it was integrated. Did you read the book that had the weird fairy tales in it? Did you open the puzzle box?
  15. The Wolf Among Us

It's a shame because I have no interest in any of their other properties.
  16. 1.99 an episode on Amazon, 14.99 a season, and first episode is "free with ads" but I've never tried it and don't have the option in Chrome since it's Silverlight.
  17. Recently completed video games

Did you download the companion app?
  18. The Wolf Among Us

Has there been an announcement about season 2 not happening, or is it just age of the title at this point?
  19. Subnautica: Sleeping with the fishes

I've got my eye on this but, with all the survival games in various stages of early access, I'm holding off for now.
  20. I'd wager both. I remember how much I used to love Gears of War. I didn't even play Judgement to complain about that, it just felt like the whole thing ended on a flat tire. At least it took an unnecessary sequel in Halo 4 for me to lose interest there.

I beat South Park: The Stick of Truth this weekend after about a month of being stalled out about half way through. It was a pretty good game.In general it used the TV material in a mostly witty, but sometimes silly, crude, or unnecessary way. Still by far the best adaptation from TV series to game that I've played. Also, it does a pretty good job of lampooning the tropes of RPGs without falling into the trap of becoming what you're making fun of. There's some unique ideas in there about using environmental hazzards to kill enemies before you even have to fight them, some pretty clever traversal stuff, and an RPG system that's a pretty good retread of Paper Mario. My only complaint is that it still felt like it overstayed its welcome. As much as people have praised it for being short, it still felt like several of the sections were longer than they needed to be to get the point across. Still, I'd recommend it for South Park fans. If you're not into South Park, go play Bowser's Inside Story instead.
  22. PAX Prime 2014

I missed passes this year, and I think I'm all right with that. I was even offered a set at face value last week and I turned them down. Giant Bomb is doing a Thursday and Friday event at the Parlor Live comedy club. I plan on going to both of those and calling it good.
