  1. Repeatedly. I wish that there was some way to prevent respawn attacks. I was both the aggressor and the aggressee and it didn't feel good either way.

    I remember the process of leveling up, customizing your character, etc. changing quite a bit, but not the gameplay? It's been a decade though.

  6. I guess whatever patch the rolled out Wednesday night (with no in-game patch warning or anything, the server just went down) fixed the dark zone. The sheer number of NPCs that come at you when you signal for extraction is crazy. It was getting to the point that two teams of us were basically in eternal extraction. Since there are only 4 hangers on each rope, 2/3rds of us would be able to extract on the first call, so then we'd have to call a second time. By the time that second time finished, there was enough loot on the ground for the first group to need to extract again. I guess I expected other players would be the big hazard for extraction.

    Oh yeah, me too, and since the primaries here in Washington are usually held after it's already been decided anyway, I haven't really been keeping track.

  9. Yup, it scales the main missions pretty nicely for 1-4 players. Not sure about hard modes of those missions though and I don't think the ambient missions scale much since any number of players could possibly stumble into them on the open map. Edit: It was nice to see you Dragonfliet, unfortunately I had run to that safe house expressly to sell/recycle junk and quit the game for the night. I work from home tomorrow, so I might be able to be on a bit later this evening.

    Oh, I just assumed it would be too overpowered to have an instant kill and it would always spawn a Codex. That's nice to know.

    I remember really enjoying Parasite EVE 1 and 2. I even played the PSP game and it was all right. I hope that one day it gets a reboot or something.

    It's a common technique on legendary runs to let the counter max out, because at that point any further bad events can't make it worse, then catch it right before time runs out.
  20. Hmm, this is the OS included with your laptop from the manufacturer? On Windows 7, I'd recommend opening a command prompt and running "sfc /scannow"
  21. Stuff blew up, but then I got in about an hour after launch. I played all the way up to getting your home base the first time. It looks very pretty with my new video card.

    It's also a mater of R&D and maintenance costs versus just paying a flunky minimum wage. I'm sure we'll get to the point that makes sense, either from a rising wages or lowering cost of machines, but I don't think we're there yet.
