  1. Recently completed video games

I don't think I ever beat that, but I was really enjoying it at the time.
  2. My experience lately is teams that completely switch up at certain points in the map. It pretty much seems like they have planned teams for each map at each point and switch between them, plus a person who will switch to a medic-killer role once I start doing well.
  3. I don't think I like the mechanic that lets you switch mid game. I know that Blizzard says it's a major part of the strategy, and I get it, but it seems tough to coordinate that with any efficiency when I'm with friends in voice chat, let alone with randoms. It feels like a strategic layer that's just going to be used by the top 10% to bludgeon the rest of us.
  4. If it makes you feel any better, I bought a 970 in March. Folks were telling me it was crazy to buy a card when nVidia had new ones coming soon, but then I heard about the delay and expected it to be a year, not a couple of months. *shrug*
  5. Ooh, that sounds nifty, I'm especially happy about having the streams up on YouTube. Watching Twitch VoD is always a pain.
  6. Good team coordination helps too, calling out where turrets and Bastions are hanging out. I imagine it would be next to impossible without a team who's talking.
  7. So if they declared it illegal, would they cease to exist? I'm not familiar with the mechanics of that particular law.
  8. I played some, but enough characters were horribly broken that I didn't go back. For instance, Tracer can basically constantly rewind time, meaning you can only kill her if you get a one-hit kill, which is pretty impossible when she can also jump constantly. *shrug* Overwatch is already on the edge of too-fast-paced for me.
  9. Hmmm, patch notes available here: http://www.stellariswiki.com/Patch_1.1 That looks like it might make Nappi's situation a little less critical? I guess we'll see. It'll be a few months before I'm ready to jump back in personally.
  10. I've had a few close wins attacking that point, but yeah it's pretty dang hard. So's attcking the first point in Hanamura. That one suffers from only one way in (like a lot of points do,) but tons of defensive sight lines from a bunch of different angles and very few offensive ones.
  11. Crusader K+ngs II

As a caution, if a rebellion does start and you're a credible threat to them, it's pretty common for them to white peace with their overlord once you declare war, so you have to be ready to act fast.
  12. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

Did you do this just by doing every single opportunity, or is there some other trick to getting more mastery? I'm at 10 in both places and it feels like a heck of a grind to get to 20.
  13. If it's anything like I ran into, it should be visible on the map and be a very quickly expanding blob. No new research, unless you get some kills and use a science ship to salvage, and no new events that I saw, but I also ate up a neighbor and got over there pretty quickly once i saw how fast it was expanding. It was pretty tough.
  14. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

Oooh, another new level? I just escalated France and haven't even done a Sapienza escalation yet. It almost feels like they're coming out too quick.
  15. I use it pretty much instantly, unless I'm the only person left or we're in the middle of a do-or-die push. It recharges pretty fast, and the res distance is smaller than it seems so I've found it difficult to get more than 2 or 3 people in the radius, even if it's been a total team kill.
  16. The part that is most infuriating is the fact that I can't hit jack with Widowmaker or Hanzo, and then I see kill videos where it's quite obvious that the reticle wasn't even on me when I got shot. I wish I had that kind of generous auto-aim/lag compensation.
  17. That event is an endgame event and it is something worth worrying about, even if it's on the other side of the galaxy. Once you beat that, I'd say that you're "done" unless you want to conquer the whole galaxy or something.
  18. i think I've maybe heard three people talk the entire time I've been playing.
  19. i think it's a lot more noticeable on an LCD, so I'd say when CRT died.
  20. Recommend a solution for my gaming setup

Ethernet over coax? Do you get internet over your coax as well?
  21. It feels like every game I play in this is an ass-kicking. I'm still winning like 50% of the time, but it's an utter stomp, which makes it difficult to learn new characters.
  22. Recommend a solution for my gaming setup

I believe the Steam Link works for non-steam games as long as you create Steam shortcuts for them, and I've heard good things as long as you're able to connect both devices to a physical network. If you're going to be doing it over wireless,it sounds like it's still acceptable for a lot of games, but might have some problems for particularly twitch-based ones.
  23. Thanks for the recommendations. I had some good games with Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and Symmetra. i especially enjoyed Symmetra and she's in my regular rotation now.
  24. She has a few good episodes, as does troy, but writing for female characters in Star Trek was still pretty weak. Not that it's super awesome now, but at least it improved some.
  25. Hmm, maybe I was playing too front-and-center with him. His secondary fire doesn't have a ton of range on it either.
