  1. General Video Game Deals Thread

Same deal where everything is discounted the same throughout the sale?
  2. People would probably care less?
  3. The threat of Big Dog

Sounds like a success to me
  4. MO MONEY MO THUMBS - PAYDAY 2

I always forget to look in this forum. Interesting they decided to remove the microtransactions. I guess community playtime really did decrease.
  5. This Pusheen box is dumb and awesome and I might subscribe.
  6. Recently completed video games

I finished Hong Kong last month. It's really good and there's enough differences and improved mechanics to keep it interesting, but it's good to take a break in between. As for the end of Dragonfall...
  7. Dota 2 - TI 6

I thought it was just a block from automatic invite, not from the qualifiers as well. That's crazy. I'm surprised it wasn't more of a deterrent.
  8. Dota 2 - TI 6

Wait, so EG doesn't even get a qualifier invite by default?
  9. I'm not sure how much support Windows 10 has for Mac drivers. I recall hearing about someone having problems, but I can't figure out where I heard it. The primary problem you'll have games-wise is that most sorts of fancy copy protection are not able to run in Win10 as Microsoft has tightened up security and doesn't allow third parties to install software that access the OS at such a low level. Safedisk in particular is broken, but any other DRM could be victim.
  10. I would love to sign up to be surprised each month, but I realize that I already collect enough garbage without a loot box subscription. The thing that Maximum Fun does for their high-level subscriptions where they send out one piece of media a month sounds really cool too, but I'm not quite willing to donate that much.
  11. Wow, his own site, I can see why he'd take off for an opportunity like that. Does anyone know much about Vice as a company? I hope this doesn't end up being a site that's just sold or closed after a year or two.
  12. I haven't examined this list of instructions step by step, but on the surface level this looks like the way I made a Win7 recovery USB in the past, just in case your DVD isn't available or you don't have a drive for it. http://www.techradar.com/us/news/software/operating-systems/how-to-create-a-windows-rescue-usb-stick-984726
  13. Did you try booting off the DVD and repairing from there?
  14. If you can access the windows recovery console on that Win7 partition, you can probably run an automated startup repair and get into the OS at least. Not sure about the battery or fan.
  15. Hitman: Steve Gaynor Edition

Man, I forgot to try this last night. I've missed every single elusive target event so far
  16. The Big FPS Playthrough MISSION COMPLETE

I found it difficult and extremely frustrating trying to play non-lethally, there simply wasn't enough ammo available for the non-lethal guns. Once I gave up on that, I had a lot more fun.
  17. The Next President

In that particular argument, I think I would prefer experience and Hawkishness rather than either idealism or disinterest.
  18. The Witcher 3: What Geralt Wants

How many DLCs are they planning?
  19. Weird,I thought everyone knew the seven shuffles thing. My issues with not shuffling enough are mostly related to the fact that I really suck at shuffling and tend to get clumps of a few cards, rather than real interleaving.
  20. Other podcasts

Yeah, I know that, but there are certain in-jokes that develop over time that I appreciate in series like this. Also I am crazy and have to listen to them all.
  21. Other podcasts

Ooh, I need to get started on that then. I'd love to start the third season (there's going to be one hopefully?) all caught up.
  22. Sports!

Man there was one year that Microsoft bought the Olympics coverage for the year and just had everything streaming on the website. I watched so much archery, table tennis, and other weird things I had never heard of that year. I really hope that that provide some sort of side bundle that doesn't require me to buy cable to see the small stuff. I'd pay like $20 or $30 just for comprehensive coverage.
  23. E3 2016: Content Experience

The fun is watching the press conferences to see all the dumb ways that companies try and re-present the stuff that everyone already knows. Also, hi!
  24. Idle Thumbs Streams

Oh, oops, I guess I was interpreting the divide between the top and bottom sections as new/old rather than ongoing and planned/finished.
