And the 254th floppy would have a bad sector.

Every time I hear someone describe Rayman, I have no idea what's going on.
-
That's a NSFW link btw, by virtue of the host at least.

One of my first memories is not understanding the run and jump in Mario, and then finally putting it all together. I also remember having a really hard time with the cape in Super Mario World, but since I was 8 when that came out (probably 10 when I played it) I must have just been a moron.

I would imagine a little from column A and a little from column B.

OK, I bit on Kentucky Route Zero. If nothing else, I want to encourage games with the mood and aesthetic that KR0 has, even if it will probably take me years before I play it (if Sam and Max Season 3 is any indication.)

Wierd. no clear leader yet today, I wonder if this is why, or if the redit group finally broke and started backstabbing each other. Or, maybe people just stopped caring, wouldn't that be nice.

My wife has a nice set and used to go to a club here, but club hours weren't condusive to her work schedule so she had to quit. There's a website she plays on occasionally, all in Japanese, that she seems to like even though she constantly gets her butt kicked.

Oooh, KR0

I completed my first empire in India, from a 1066 start as the a Jain count of a single county in a Hindu country. I have 4/5 of the Jain holy sites now, so my moral authority is up high enough to actually convert folks. Now I just have to see if I can make it to the point that I can fire off that decision to form the great empire of India before I run out of time. I think I have about 75 years.

Hmm, normally this sort of self-awareness in a video game company comes off as cheesy and stupid, but this is tempting.
-
That wasn't much of an article, so I can understand why some might be upset. On the other hand, that was a hell of a response and I can understand why everyone would be upset.

Meh, I have a little bit of fun doing it, as long as I'm not having to put my own money into the system.
-
Hmm, I didn't know that you got a card for contributing. If I sell it, and then use the cash to buy cards to fill out another badge, I can probably get one badge a day for free.

That makes me really sad I missed Green's first winning day. Oh well, I guess I'll be able to take a shot on Thursday.

Hmm, Nether for $3. I remember seeing a video that really interested me in it, but all the reviews are so bad. Edit: But then maybe a game released three weeks ago already being on an %80 off sale says something.

In contrast to my earlier QoP rant, I'd just like to say that I am horrible at playing Terrorblade. I see a lot of cool possibilities there, but I just can't make the right moves to do anything useful with him.

Except it's all in-game currency Edit: Wait, there's a minimum level threshold to get cards?

Light blue off to a good start. My team is currently going backwards.
-
Day 1 was fairly balanced (despite the way the bars are drawn, first to last place difference was only around 25%) day 2 skewed a little more (two top teams that were about 33% ahead of the rest) and then day 3 &4 went crazy imbalanced. That's what makes me think it's people learning the system and then breaking it rather than some sort of Valve-induced randomization.
-
There are groups of people who try and manipulate these systems when there's nothing at stake, let alone when there are $30-$150 worth of games on the line. Edit: I have been tempted several times this sale, but I have been able to limit myself to EuroTruck 2 and State of Decay, both of which I've already started playing, so that's good at least.

I imagine that one of the big Steam-pro type groups are coordinating and trading off days. As soon as the day ticks over they craft a ton of badges, which then gets them off to such a lead that others don't want to waste their cards. I missed the first time my team was way ahead, but I sold my summer cards to buy a few cards in other sets and am ready to craft two non-summer badges. Next time we're ahead, I'll craft one and see if I'm one of the lucky 30.

Man, did they take away the icons on the selection screen that told you the specialties of the various heroes? I know they were kinda off a bit, but at least it would give me an idea what I was picking.

It's also the only current gen console that's backwards compatible.

Perhaps you could describe FC2 (a very divisive game) as a bit Marmite?
