I always just use the "Paste as plain text" button. CHILDREN! I LOOOVE CHILDREN!

Does anyone else gets a little bummed when they hear people talk about how the Dailies repeat themselves?

I got 5 stitches in my eyelid when I was 7 because my sister threw a Ninja Turtle motorcycle toy (with a spiky kickstand!) at my head. While getting the stitches the nurses had to restrain me so I would stay still, since I was freaking out. Said restraint restricted my breathing and I almost suffocated. The whole process gave me an intense fear of needles that I still carry to this day. Turtle Power!

I'm probably only gonna post notable days (10/18/13 NOT being one of them for me), though I'll be uploading all of them to my YouTube channel here, if you want to subscribe. EDIT: On second thought, given that me and you died the EXACT SAME WAY, I'll post it. -
This really tickles my brain. I'd love a link.

The best thing about the whole drunk thing (which I'm frequently) is holding a big bottle by the neck.

I'd also recommend looking through the Feminism thread but...ehhh, maybe not the 5 or so most recent pages.

In which I muse on what the shadows in Spelunky say about it's fiction and use a jetpack a bit more sensibly. Sorry for the weird echo effect, I didn't know OBS would record both my voice through the microphone and my voice coming into my headphones. -
I think mono is generally the way to go with podcasts. Just too many variables to the way people listen to them, without the stereo doing enough good.. I remember when I had a car with a faulty aux. audio port that would only play the left channel, and suddenly any podcast that was in stereo became unlistenable.

It's the first thing your character does when you starts a new adventure! -
I love the podcast. I'd be interested to see if you cover more developers who work on smaller scales. Someone like Tom Francis (who might be too difficult to do due to distance, I know) or Anna Anthropy. As great as the Walking Dead stuff was, I was almost more interested in hearing Jake and Sean talk about Poker Night at the Inventory.

This was the first run I did where I was able to get the recording software to work. In it, my jetpack goes to my head. -
I did a test stream and it ended up being hilarious. As soon as I can get YouTube and my internet connection to play nice. The name of the video is "Jetpack Icarus".

The Tone Control is the podcast that forms after Nick Breckon leaves.

That was a brutal seed. Lot of resources needed to get basic stuff like damsels and keys in the Caves, and no way to get more bombs. I didn't find a crate with bombs until 3-1. Three crates with parachutes though. But I used my last one on a shotgun at 2-2, and that ended up being a life saver. By the end I was in 4-2 with a shotgun and a jetpack, which I like to think of as "fully upgraded". EDIT: Watching IrishJohn's run also reminded me of the dark level! I hate dark levels! -
Hey John, exactly what settings do you use on Open Broadcast? I fooled around with it for about an hour yesterday, but only managed to record my desktop, or the sound of the game over a black screen.

As someone who knows nothing about programming and has never worked in the industry, I still got a lot out of this. I think people actually tend to learn more from things that are slightly over their head than things that speak directly to them. Even if you only understand 75% of what's said, that 75% is often more valuable than 100% of something that aims lower.

You trounced me. I'm constantly amazed at how well I do on regular adventures (baby games) and how horribly I do when it actually matters. My run average on a regular adventure: 31,000. My run average on Daily: 4,000. I'm Captain Choke. -
"I'm gonna take the compass, because I'm a baby gamer." You may wish for more skills at Spelunky, but your skills at speaking while playing Spelunky are top-notch. I'd love to see more!

Oh man, clyde, I want to hear your story on today's Daily. 100K+ on the daily is a nice feat. Especially considering that my (admittedly, drunk) ass crapped out on 1-4. -
Important Tipping Notes From A Former Pizza Delivery Driver You don't have to do gratuity. If you order a small cheese pizza or an extra large meatlovers mushroom lovers ingredient lovers pizza, it takes the same amount of work for the driver to get it to you. If there is a delivery fee, the driver may be getting half of that but probably isn't. The driver is probably not getting paid for gas he uses. If you live further away, give a better tip. If your order is more complicated (pizzas AND soda AND wings, etc.) it's harder for him to walk to your door. Tip a little more, especially if you ordered more than one two liter. Your pizza getting there late is almost never the driver's fault. They want to get it to you quickly so they can get back quickly to make more deliveries to get more tips. Sometimes it's just a busy night, or the person taking your order on the phone is dumb and gives an unrealistic time to expect your food. The only time drivers are late is when they get lost. This can often be the fault of the driver, but go ahead and hedge your bets by giving a good description of where you live. Some buildings have the house number right on the front, but a lot don't. Notes like: "The blue house" or "entrance is around the back" are very helpful. Basically: 3 dollars is minimum. Don't tip less than that. If gas prices are high, tip more 5 dollars is good, and that's what I tip. And if you are having an orgy, make sure to keep a robe by the door. It's hard for the driver to slip your food through the barely cracked door while you are hiding naked behind it. That last one happens way more often than you'd think. I averaged delivering pizzas to an orgy once every two months in my time working.
