I forgot to post an updated version of that list! Here we go: I've been getting help from a few friends, but any help is appreciated. I completed the "seen" part of the New Unova dex last night, so that's a start.

One thing I really miss is that earlier Mario games did tend to have weird one-off segments. It's why people love things like Kuribo's Shoe or Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy.

They confirmed a while back that, even though it's region-locked, you can play in any language in any version of the game.

It's totally real. I did a double-take when I first fought them.

You know, I know a few people who make furry porn as either a side gig or a main source of income and they're actually pretty cool.

I finally saw Mimic and Pitch Black this week, but I found both kind of disappointing.

I briefly mentioned this in the cartoon thread, but I thought I'd mention here that Adventure Time had a recent episode where Super Hexagon messing with your brain is a central plot point.

So I'm caught up on Adventure Time again. "The Vault" is another one of those bombshell episodes where a bunch of loose ends are addressed at once, yet the thing that blew my mind the most was that it drops in this inexplicable nod to Super Hexagon of all things.

So I've been trying not to pay attention to leaks at the moment since we're so close to release and none of them are officially confirmed, but they're popping up everywhere so I figured I'd at least post a comprehensive list behind a spoiler. An asterisk next to their typing means that it's presumed. There've been reports that Mega Stones have been found for these Pokémon, but nobody's caught said monsters yet to see what their megas look like: There's also a list somewhere of Pokémon that have been confirmed to have retroactively become Fairy-type, but I don't have that. Oh hey, a hacking minigame thread. Fucking Lego of all things did an amazing browser-based game called Spybot: The Nightfall Incident back in 2002 that was entirely framed around hacking. It had almost nothing to do with the actual toyline it was promoting, but man was it fun. I really wish it had been a standalone game so that it could have possibly escaped the promotional website ghetto it was sentenced to. You can play it here.

I like that it has a See You Next Wednesday reference.

It's pretty crazy that this gen has such a huge disparity between major consoles. This thing is dwarfing the new Playstation and Xbox which are in turn dwarfing the Wii U.

Did anyone else see the Godzilla teaser before it got wiped off the face of the internet? I'm really happy that it seems like the nuclear warfare metaphor from the original movie is fully intact.

Same here. On the one hand I kind of liked it, but on the other it just reminds me of how terrible The Simpsons has gotten. I generally really hate the overly-long couch gags they've been using to fill time for the last few seasons, and Treehouse of Horror gets more disappointing every year. XXII parodied such classic horror stories as Avatar, Dexter, and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

I hope someone sends them a manilla envelope filled with unrefrigerated hot pockets, one end stained dark with collected grease and leavings, the whole thing lukewarm and smelling strongly of pizza that's just started to go bad.

I have a friend who likes taking the "-em-up" suffix to its logical extreme by saying things like "explore-em-up." Gone Home needs one of those.

Santo Campo Conquers the Martians

I did a thing for a contest.

...I didn't want to bring it up, but Pokémon is a really good match for the stuff they brought up about Spelunky and Minecraft being the kind of game that a kid could grow up with but also stay rich and interesting to adults. ...Outside of the part about being new and fresh, of course.

The craziest thing to me is that this isn't just the first time Peach has been able to use the fire flower and such, it's that it's the first time she's been playable in a Mario platformer at all in 25 years. I'm really glad Jake's been excited about Nintendo stuff lately because it makes me feel like less of a butt for talking about Nintendo all the time. Now get a Wii U and Pikmin 3.

I finally got the winged Pikmin! I lost so many goddamned Pikmin to the boss right before then, but I'm happy to finally have another new strategy available to me.

So this is actual audio from the Pokémon :The Origin special that aired in Japan yesterday. I feel very uncomfortable about picking Charmander now.
