It's funny how Tony Hawk's Pro Skater ended up doing the JSRF thing of perfectly encompassing a certain place and time with its music selection (Dead Kennedys yeeeeaaaaah), but at the time they were probably just picking stuff that was popular in the current skater culture.

I picked up the first volume of Afterlife With Archie the other day before the shootings started, and wrote about how the experiences sort of tie together on the comic tumblr. I don't really mention how I feel about the book though, which is that it's awesome and you should go buy it.

They released the name of one of the RCMP officers who was killed. He had a kid and had just celebrated his fourth anniversary with his pregnant wife. Fuck, man. My friend's been listening to a police scanner. He tells me that the guy was spotted earlier tonight and that he's been hearing aircraft around his house all evening. I really hope this is all cleared up soon. I'm running out of supplies and I don't want to have to walk around looking for a store that's not closed because of the lockdown.

Saints Row The Third (and IV) has some amazing use of licensed music throughout, but this is just such a great character moment.

Two things worth noting: Nintendo set aside something like 45 minutes for a Q&A about a 3DS game that won't be revealed until the show, which implies it's gonna' be something nuts; and I guess Miyamoto will apparently be revealing a new IP he's been working on. Intewesting.

There haven't been any reports of the gunman being seen for hours and the whole city's still in lockdown. I've seen some police cars patrolling my neighbourhood.
